Fall is my favorite month to try new desserts and bring old favorites to share with my family and friends!
Dulce De Leche is always a trending flavor for me and there are so many ways to use it as a great addition to my favorite desserts!
Today I will share my chocolate cake with dulce de leche frosting and how your family bonds over traditional Dulce de Leche recipe you all love!
1/2 cup water
4 (1 ounce) squares sweet chocolate oe 2 Tbsp of chocolate powder
1 cup butter, softened
2 cups white Granulated Sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup of milk
2 1/2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup white Granulated Sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour pan.
Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt. In a small saucepan, heat water and 4 ounces chocolate until melted. Remove from heat and allow it to cool.
In a large bowl, beat 1 cup butter and 2 cups sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in 4 eggs one at a time. Blend in the melted chocolate mixture and vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture with the milk, mixing just until incorporated.
You can also beat the egg whites separated and add them to the mixture at the end. I chose not to do that this time.
Pour into the pans Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Allow to cool for 10 minutes then turn out onto wire rack or on a cake plate.
This time I’ve used it to make cupcakes, a great way to bring the delicious tradition to your halloween party or dia de los muertos celebration!
Let it cool and pour dulce de leche on top!
You can also use Dulce de Leche in Pastel (Pastry), Ponque (Cake), Cheesecake, Rice Pudding and so many other amazing ways!
Don’t forget that World Dulce de Leche Day is October 11!
