This easy recipe is a favorite at my house and I know it will become at yours, even if you don't follow the keto lifestyle!

Course: Main Course
Cuisine: Hispanic
Keyword: keto, keto chili, low carb chili
Servings: 8
: 350 kcal
Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 Pound Ground Beef I prefer lean, but it's up to you
  • 1 Cup Diced Onion
  • 1 Small Can Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 Tbsp Rao Tomato Sauce Optional
  • 1 Tbsp Cumin
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
  • Salt & Pepper To Taste
  • 1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper Use more if you like the heat.
  • 1 Tsp Cillantro Leaves
  • 1 Tsp Dried coriander
  • 1 Tbsp Sweet Paprika
  • 1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 Cup Beef Bone Broth Enough to Cover the Ground Beef/Ingredients
  • 1 Tsp Sour Cream
  • 1 Tsp Shredded Cheese of Choice
  • 1 Tbsp Green Onion
  • 1 1/2 Tsp MCT or Avocado Oil
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat the skillet for 5 mins and add oil

  2. Cook onions until they soft and tender

  3. Add ground Beef and lightly sauté it

  4. Add Mixture to the crockpot, I sometimes drain a bit, depending on how much fat is in the skillet.

  5. Add all the other seasonings, tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and beef broth.

  6. Cook for 4 hours on low or 2 hours on high, until the sauce takes the spices and it's creamy and darker. The beef is cooked, so you can't go wrong with it!

  7. Add 1 tsp of sour cream, cheese and green onion to garnish.

  8. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Serving Size: 1 1/2 cup/ 1 bowl - 9 net Carbs

I use Garlic Himalayan Salt, but regular salt is fine.

You can reduce the calories by not adding sour cream, cheese and buy 95% lean ground beef and drain the mixture before adding it to the crockpot. Since Keto allows fat, if it fits in your daily macros, they are totally worth it!
