Every year I make a vision board, right now I have three in my office, but I’ve never come here, on the blog to share my top 10 things I want to do in each year.
I know I’m late to the party, but I believe there’s power in writing and releasing your dreams in the world!
Here Are 10 Things I want to do in 2019:
Have another tequila shot with Oprah!
Last year, not sure if you remember, I had the honor to be invited to Oprah’s favorite things in 2017 and 2018 and Oprah was there, she handed us special tequila shot glasses and opened the night asking us to toast with a tequila shot!
You can read and watch the video here.
My #1 item on the list is to have the honor to finally meet her and share a tequila shot with her!
I want to share a very interesting story!
Last year, early on in 2018, I had a dream: I was at Oprah’s home in Hawaii, attending an event there and I met her and had a chance to talk and share a meal.
Almost a year later, I found out that Weight Watchers was bringing my dream to reality and started a contest. Of Course I jumped back to live my healthier life ever and entered the contest.
I’ve felt that this weird coincidence was a sign, because I really don’t believe in coincidences.
I know it’s a crazy story, but it’s true, what are the odds, that I would dream something they made into a contest?
Please send me some good vibes, they still haven’t announced the winners of the contest.
Take Hubby To Alaska
Hubby watches endless shows about Alaska, he loves the cold and the snow!
Every time I see him watching those shows, I think about starting to save or work with a cruise line and make his dream come true and take him to Alaska!
Trust me, Alaska is not my ideal destination, but I would like for once, to give him a trip he has been dreaming about!
Create An Online Coaching Program
My goal is to create an online coaching program to continue the coaching I already do with small business owners and bloggers, but make it as an online module and present people with skills they can opt to learn, giving, for example, a staying home mom, the chance to learn how to start blogging or help a small business launch a successful social media presence.
Small businesses need as much support as possible when they are beginning, and even throughout, as they will have different objectives and goals than bigger businesses. They need to be told what resources are available and how they can be helped, for example, those businesses that are selling online will need to make sure they have secure payment processing software that can be found with sites like https://www.easypaydirect.com/merchant-accounts/cbd-hemp-online-credit-card-processing/. They will probably need to contact a local bank that can help them with their business financial needs. However, the most important feature of a successful small business on the Internet is having a unique website which they can get designed with the assistance of professionals from companies like Hooked Marketing. Budding entrepreneurs must remember that a well-developed website is crucial for lead generations and increased conversions. Anyway, as you can see, small businesses need to have all the above-mentioned knowledge. So, I would like to help them get their footing and thrive in their sector.
My goal is to somehow have sponsors to be able to offer scholarships to clients who can’t afford the program.
It has been a dream for 3 years, we’ll see!
Host a Retreat
A mind and body retreat at an amazing location, fully funded by attendance and sponsors, I would love to bring the best in the nation, like-minded coaches to help people live their best lives!
I am just certain of two things:
It needs to be by the water and our main goal needs to truly help transform lives with it!
Volunteer to make an impact in teen’s lives
I would like to be able to open up, share my teen pregnancy, my struggles and my story to inspire and empower teens to go for it!
Not sure if a program or a non profit.
I would definitely love to have foreigners and African Americans as the focus of our outreach.
Rent a house by the beach without being work related
Don’t get me wrong, I would still share lots of pictures, but it has been a long time since we had a vacation and not be work-related, so I’m making a point this summer to do this!
Start the process of preparing my house to put on the market
Yes, my son will be in college in two years, this is crunch time to get his life in order and ours too.
Our goal is to find a new place we both like and move to what will be our retirement home. We have been looking at some residential communities from all over the world, like Piccadilly Grand in Singapore, to get an idea of the kind of lifestyle their residents live. I have also asked around in my friend group and social media regarding finding a place to live after our retirement. The most amusing answers I have got are related to moving abroad. For instance, one of my friends, residing in Egypt, advised me for buying property in Egypt. She told me that the luxury properties are pretty much available at an affordable rate. When I heard this for the first time, I had a good laugh about it. But then I gave it a thought and came to the realization that living abroad after retirement could be fun.
So, my plan is we start now, fix a few minor things, give it a fresh coat of paint, replace rug in two rooms and remove the clutter from the basement and garage. After all these things our house will probably be ready to be sold.
After selling our home, we should have a great starting point to get a more affordable, luxurious home, with a bright open kitchen, where I will make endless breakfasts for my grandkids, near the water in a warmer area.
Yes, those are my must have items, a pool and hot tub are the cherry on the top.
Plant a Larger Garden
You know how important it is for me to eat healthy, every year, for the past 5 years, I have been planting small herbs, tomato, lettuce in pots on my deck.
This year, I want to buy a raised bed, start early with seeds and actually plant peppers, zucchini and maybe other fruits as well!
Manage our income better to do more and save more
Having goals and plans is so important to build a better future.
I plan to reduce my spending, while keeping things that are important and make us happy!
Have Date Nights
Our life is so crazy busy and we often go out and do things related to my blog, while having fun!
But I want to make an effort to plan at least one date night a month.
Something simple, nothing fancy, just a time and place we can go together and enjoy time away from the craziness.
Now that I’ve shared my top 10 things I want to do in 2019, I’m releasing my wishes to the universe and we’ll see what the future holds!
Do you like my list?
I can’t wait to hear what you think!
As usual, give me a Trendy Shout!

Very inspiring I hope you realize some of the things
Kristin
We sold our first home for the next one a couple years ago and you are so smart to get started early! We had to get ours ready in a few months and it was SO stressful! Good luck with your list. It’s filled with fabulosity!
Jennifer Sikora
Same here! I would love to take a vacation and put my phone away and just enjoy it without having to be in work mode!

I love your list! I really hope you’ll be able to do all of these. I still remember your post last year about your hair related to the Oprah event. I hope you win and meet her!

This is a fabulous list. I think it’s great that you want to grant your husband’s wish to go to Alaska.

You have a wonderful list of aspirations to achieve great things! I wish you the best on accomplishing these things.

I love your list of goals for 2019. I need to come up with a list but I am currently preoccupied with finding a way to cut my cost of living down, as a renter.

I like all of your goals for this year. I am going to do a list myself.

2019 should be both fun and productive with goals like this in mind. It’s really cool that you met Oprah!

I love your list! I also feel like I want to host a retreat of some kind. Something at the beach! My specific thought is at the Marriott Harbor Beach in Fort Lauderdale where I used to do event planning for my corporate job 25 years ago! I would love to have spa treatments, yoga on the beach and workshops to help bloggers and also have workshops for our mind, body and spirit!
I love your goals to do more for others. Just as you always like to give back, this would be so helpful to others if you shared your story. I have known you for a long time; yet I don’t really know your teenage pregnancy story.
I also want to increase my garden this year. My husband and I are already planning on the size for it and my son is ready to start setting up our inside greenhouse and planting our seeds to start the garden. They do grow so fast so we can’t start too early!
These are great visions to have! I know you will make all your dreams come true!

What a great list! My hubby too wants to visit Alaska — maybe a cruise is the way to do it.

My brother in law was stationed in Alaska for 2 years and he left because no one would go out to visit him there LOL. I wanted to, but my schedule never worked out. I do want to get there someday.

I love your list and I know the universe will help you make it happen.😊
