You have been following our basketball adventures and how my son has been working really hard to pursue his dreams! Being on the road non-stop is the least we can do to support it! That is why I’m here to share that the right vehicle, makes a huge difference and why sports families need the RAV4!
5 Reasons Why Sports Families Need The RAV4
Space
My son plays basketball and we often find ourselves on the road a lot!
It’s basically a full time job to drive him to practice, private training, shooting clinic, agility! So much going on!
During AAU season, we also drive our son and sometimes his friends to tournaments in different States.
Sometimes we’ll have 2 or 3, 6’7″ + boys in the back, so, space is a must when you are a sports family!
That’s why I love how the Toyota RAV4 offered my two 6’8″ boys plenty of room, plus outlets for their phones! The teens were all set!
We moved the front seats all the way back, so you can see we still have room left, even if tall family members drive and ride in the front!
The back of the back seats reclines, giving the boys an extra level of comfort!
The trunk’s space offered way beyond our basic basketball bag needs. It fit all our luggage and we still had plenty of room left.

Tech Friendly
You know, when your teen forgets the cell cable to charge? The RAV4 has a an answer to that! The wireless charger was the only one which really worked in the last vehicles we have reviewed with both android and apple devices!
We also loved the USB outlets in the back!
More Tech We loved
The mirror had a camera! A feature I hadn’t seen in any of the other vehicles we’ve reviewed!
We also loved the RAV4 Touch Screen Infotainment!
All the options and apps, which was another feature that made our teens super happy!
Compatible with Apple Car Play and Alexa!
Sound
The JBL sound made the rap and teen tunes sound perfectly in tune and received raving reviews from my “experts”!
Trendy Look
We love the interior lines and design, I truly felt I had a higher view than most CUVs we’ve driven.
We also loved the upgraded exterior and modern lines!
Fuel Economy
Hubby’s favorite feature, the fuel economy! It really impressed us!
We were able to get between 32-34 on the highway and 25-27 in the city.
Needless to say the RAV4 2019 delivered more than promised and made the teens and this sports family more than happy!
At the end, our journey with our son becomes a family affair and we want to be there for him!
We want to be there to support him and his dream to play basketball in college!
We want to thank Toyota for allowing us to head to Virginia and take my son and his friend to play basketball at an AAU tournament with their team!
