When the fall is here and the leaves change color, if you are like me, you will look for colder places to travel to, look for apple picking, local amusement parks, pumpkin pie, apple cider and turkey & mashed potatoes!
I had never had the opportunity to visit Walt Disney World (WDW) during the fall, the thought of spending time there in 80°F weather defeated the Fall Fun! Oh….But I was so wrong!
I must confess the Latina in me was soooo happy to return to sunny Florida and nice weather!
WDW in the fall is not only beautiful, it is also extra magical! So much to see and experience!
I spent Halloween Weekend there, one of the best times of the year to enjoy the parks and will share my 5 reasons why you too, should visit WDW in the Fall!
Weather
It’s officially my favorite time to visit. Not only is the weather nice, there are so many exciting things to see, do and taste at Disney Parks in the Fall!!
The Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Party is a must, if you have children with you! I chose to visit the Park during the day with my Hopper Pass, which gave me access to it until 7 PM.
The party officially begins at 7 p.m. inside Magic Kingdom. Party guests are welcome to enter the park starting at 4 p.m., which is recommended. Well before the park closes for the party at 7 p.m., cast members remind guests that the park closes at 7 p.m. All party guests will be given party wristbands upon entering and those guests already in the park will find cast members scanning party tickets and distributing wristbands. At 7 p.m., cast members stationed around the park will be asking guests to show wristbands, if not visible. Guests that do not have them will be directed to the exits.
The Monorail was also interrupted in some parts, due to park closure and to make it easier to allow guests who bought the ticket to enjoy the park. So it is important to check, before booking the party.
If you want more info on it, check here.
Faster Lines
As I said, I chose to visit the park during the day, since I did not have my family there. I had a chance to enjoy some fall treats, shorter lines and my visit gave a new meaning to some of my favorites, like the Haunted Mansion during such a special time! Spooky had a whole new meaning!
Gorgeous Decor
Another great feature is the decor, the leaves, pumpkins, red, yellow and orange everywhere, all festive and ready to celebrate fall!
Amazing Fall and Halloween Filled Stores
All the stores are filled with amazing gifts for the whole family!
Great Weather For Parades
Just remember, parades are outside, so the nice fall weather is also perfect to be outside and dance and sing watching our favorite characters!
The Festival of Fantasy Parade was also super special, here are some of my favorite moments:
All my favorite princesses!
I become a child again, singing and watching the Parades, always my favorite!
There are parades, music shows and so much more, going on all day in Magic Kingdom, for more information, click here.
Let’s talk about Food!
I enjoyed an amazing salad, so I could later indulge in their renowned treats! I loved the candy corn vanilla ice-cream after lunch at StoryBook treats!
My late afternoon snack was one that I personally recommend, the pumpkin fudge and caramel apples from Sweet Spells at Hollywood Studios!
I also had a late afternoon treat! Something I always do with my son when we visit Magic Kingdom and we take a pic! The Mickey Ice Cream! Soooo good!
I must confess I missed my family! As I’ve said, Disney is such a special place for our family, that I’m already planning bringing my family next fall! Costumes and all!
What is your favorite time to visit Walt Disney World? All year long like me???
As usual give us a Trendy Shout!
