I was invited with my family to enjoy a weekend at the Woodloch Resort, but all opinions are my own.
It was our first winter adventure!
We normally don’t travel in the winter, because I’m not a fan of the cold weather, but Woodlock Resort and all the fun we had, proved to be the first of many winter trips, here are a few reasons why.
A Few Reasons Why Your Teen (the whole family) Will Love The Woodloch Resort
Spacious Room With Teen Approved Area
One issue we have when going to hotels is, that our son likes using the down time in the room to snap the room and location to share with his friends and check on his besties as well!
He usually has to do that close to us, which “violates”, the cool teen rules! 🙂
At the Woodlock, we were able to give him the privacy he loves (we stayed in the Edgewater Suite) and give him his own bathroom. Yet we were all together, enjoying family time as well!
Here is my walk through video:
Our room:
The view from our room – our first sunset at Woodloch Resort!
So much to do, your teen will never get bored!
Every day at breakfast, we would receive the list of events for the day!
Our bracelets would allow us to enjoy endless fun in most of the activities listed! Only a few, like the escape room, were paid. But boy oh boy was it worth it. I’ve always been a big lover of escape rooms, so when I found out that there was one at the resort, I was so excited. Don’t tell anyone this, but I think I was actually more excited than the teenagers, although they were just better at hiding it than I was.
When it comes to escape rooms, I just love the fact that you are using the many different strengths and skills that each individual has to try and escape from the room within the time limit. After doing many escape rooms in my time (but not as many as I would like), I’ve learned that you should always pay attention to what the escape room game master tells you because these clues can help you to move on to the next challenge faster. And if you want to escape, this is something that you need to consider doing. That is what they are there for, after all.
Even so, we had a great time, and it was just a great addition to our trip.

We enjoyed multiple runs of Snow Tubing
In the evening, my first time everrrr! Followed by fireplace and marshmallows!
Followed by multiple runs during the day! Sooo much fun!
Look at the smile on my face!
My first time ever! Such a bucket list and sooo happy to see my whole family enjoying a fun time together!
Ice Skating
Another bucket list for me! My son and I had never been ice skating!
We had so much fun on the ice skating rink! Since it is designed for beginners, it was perfect for us!
I even ventured some ice hockey! Yes!!
Go Karts!
This car lover had a lot of fun racing the family!
Sad to report I didn’t win!
They had two GoKart courses, one for older kids and one for younger ones.
Hubby is 6’2″ and my son is 6’7″ and both fit comfortably in it!
Visiting during the time of Winter Fest was a whole special addition to our fun time!
We were truly immersed in a Winter Wonderland!
Hot cocoa at the hot cocoa bar
Because you know how much teens love treats and some adults too! Just saying!
We loved playing with the sleigh dogs
Browsing through beautiful ice sculptures
Also had a great time enjoying indoor games!
Also loved roasting marshmallows! Yummm!
The Food is not only teen friendly, but teen heaven!
Safe to say there’s something for anybody in your family!
Every meal, they had characters to meet and greet with the kids! Of course, I had to embarrass my teen, so you guys could see our first dinner meet and greet with Moana’s star!
Yes, my son was taller than him!
Even though they mentioned dress up code at meals, we noticed people were really casual, coming from outdoor fun to have the meals.
They were only dressed up on the evening when we had the special show!
We had the three meal plan and were surprised with more options than we could possibly try!
Even my tall growing boy!
Their menu had everything from gourmet dishes to burgers and gluten free options!
A special tip: if you’re planning on coming, but are in doubt on the meal plan, I can safely tell you: go for it! You won’t be disappointed!
Here are some dinner highlights on the food menu at the Woodloch Resort!
Dinner
Breakfasts were also amazing!
If you know my son, you know how picky he is when it comes to food! I was sooo happy to see the smile on his face, when he glanced at the menu at the Woodloch Resort!
They welcomed us with crumb cake! Homemade, warm from the kitchen!
We enjoyed trying new favorites like the Swedish latkes with lingonberry sauce!
My son called his eggs, the perfect sunny side ups!
I loved that my meal also came with endless delicious coffee, fresh fruits, orange juice and so many other options I didn’t have a chance to try!
Everything tasted like food I would make in my kitchen, warm and homemade and yet they are a restaurant that fits over 1,000 guests!
Lunch Highlights:
I was really surprised when my drone team member asked them about gluten free options, and they immediately gave him a lot of options for meals and desserts!
Here are some of our lunch favorites at the Woodloch Resort!
Their daily option of homemade soup!

While we don’t have a teen just yet, I can see why any teen and their family would love this resort. The rooms look so spacious, and just mention snow tubing to my kids, and they’ll be excited!

Now that my kids are getting older, I’m learning just how difficult it is to decide on a vacation destination with teens. This resort looks like it could easily satisfy our entire family!

That place looks like a lot of fun. I would love going there even if my kids don’t. I am pretty sure my kids would love it though. If I ever get out that way I will go there.
