Every year I take two weeks off at the end of December to create a vision board! It has evolved into a couple vision boards for different areas in my life.
Some people see the vision board concept as a fairy tale type of thing, I see it as a place to organize your goals, set intentions, and stay on track, every time you look at it!
Growing up in South America, one of my goals is to keep my culture alive in my home and in everything I do because it is a part of who I am – a Latina!
Today I will share my process and a step-by-step tutorial so you can build your board! I am highlighting the health and wellness part of my life, having as a center thought the idea of being even more active as the main goal for the new year.
I know life gets in the way, that happened to me in 2016! But I wanted to share my secret to moving forward, even when I’m not feeling too well: Advil
Advil is my solution to minor pains and aches that potentially slow me down. Its relief is tough on pain and long-lasting, to allow me to continue to enjoy life and to do the things I love with mi familia y amigos! For some people, Advil may not come close to getting rid of the pain they are experiencing so they look to other ways that can help them get over a bout of pain coursing through their body, for example, the use of CBD öl (CBD oil), has been known to soothe some pain in people, similar to natural-based supplements, especially if they do not want to go the medicated route. But Advil for me is the best thing with my lifestyle.
You know how busy my lifestyle is, so working out and eating right has to be an effort for me. I grew up eating home-cooked meals every day, prepared by mi Mamá (my mom)! Keeping that tradition is one of my goals for 2017 because home-cooked meals provide a healthier lifestyle and open the door to bring my favorite dishes to my family.
Living with passion and energy for life are Latino traits that I proudly carry with me, as part of my herencia (heritage). I strongly feel that Advil Tablets provide tough pain relief that aligns with my lifestyle as a passionate Latina, helping me to continue doing all the things that are important to me and those around me.
As Latinos we often have to do more – you know that busy is my name! I run a social media management business, I’m an influencer, and attend several conferences and events on behalf of brands all over the country. When my body is telling me to slow down or that occasional headache bothers me, Advil has been my trusted source for more than 10 years to make sure I can keep going, adelante (moving forward), because nothing is proven faster, stronger or longer-lasting on even your toughest pain!!*Among OTC brands. *Use as directed.
My tutorial is more than a vision, it is my inner core desire to live a better active and busy lifestyle, while preserving my Latina culture, not letting it get diluted in the rush of the daily grind.
Let’s get started!
Vision Board Tutorial
Step 1
I start with a picture I’ll make, as seen above. This picture will guide my focus area for the year. The next year for me is all about getting even healthier, remember? So I will concentrate on my fitness and nutrition goals, as well as things that improve my overall well being, such as meditating in the morning.
I always add words that bring me home. For me, adding Latin words is like reaching my core, who I really am. So my vision boards always have words in Spanish and Portuguese! After all, it’s all about preserving my Latino culture, even with my busy lifestyle!
Step 2
Since I am planning on a more active routine, step 2 is to find visuals and pictures representing steps I need to take to reach my main goals! I look for pictures in magazines, stickers, anything that is aligned with my goals!
Step 3
I look for new supplies and embellishments to add a nice touch to my new board. Walmart is my go to place to find them!
Step 4
I add strong elements that tie into my big goals and small steps or that just give strength to my overall message. This year, I’m also adding some items I’ve brought from a recent trip to Brazil. Those ribbons are believed to bring luck and prosperity and bless goals and wishes, so I am adding them as a powerful reminder that dreams do come true.
Step 5
I add rewards, always keeping my eye on the prize. This year, I want to reward myself with a trip to a spa for the weekend and a shopping spree for new workout outfits, once I reach my weight-loss/fitness goals.
Step 6
My most important tip is that there is no right or wrong, so have fun!! You are painting a picture on a blank canvas, writing a new chapter in your life. How you would like it to be? Get ready to let your inner light shine!!
I’ve decided to concentrate my vision board on my health, but you can use it for many different goals, such as:
Business
Vacation
Dream Home
Dream Partner
There are so many key goals, the sky is the limit!
I can hear your question: “Does this stuff work?” Absolutely! 85% of the goals and steps listed on my vision board last year came true, some I had no idea how I would manifest them! Some happened even bigger and better than I envisioned!
There is power in setting your intention and acting on it!
I hope you’ve enjoyed my vision board ideas and that they inspired you to also live and enjoy an active life and how Advil is a great tool to allow me to continue doing the things I love to do. (Not letting pain stop me from enjoying mi vida (my life)!)
Walmart is always my go to place to find all the items I need for the project above and always the best place to pick up my Advil, when needed! I’m always stocking up on it! You can also buy it here: Advil
Check out how others are also experiencing relief with Advil HERE!
Let’s end the year with a toast to new visions and brighter beginnings! Salud!

Oh em gee, I’ve never made or seen a vision board before. I’d love to create one for myself. Now Advil on the other hand is something I’m familiar with. I couldn’t make it through the day with my back pain, without it.

A vision board for 2017 is a great idea. It can gives you incentive every time you look at it to achieve your goals for the year. I will have to share this idea with my sons who are both unsure of what they are going to do for careers. Thanks for sharing the idea and info.
