Today I went to the beach, was reading O Magazine and said to myself, I have my own Beach Favorite things! Since the Summer Season finally kicked in! Thinking about my favorite products and sharing some of them on my FB pages, generated so much interest, I decided to share some of my favorites! Wanted to start with Sunblock!
As a good Latin woman and Brazilian, I grew up sunbathing and not worrying about sunblock, off course because of my darker complexion, the darker, the better…..but it changed when I turned 20 and the moles and spots started to show up…I adopted facial spf cream, sunblock for the beach and later on I discovered, the most amazing line of facial sunblock by Shisheido, which I swear, wiped out years out of my skin. I particularly like the powder, which comes in 4 shades, depending of your complexion:
I also love the facial sunblock, which prevents zits and oil from building up on your face, normally present on facial sunblocks! I am not a spokesperson for Shisheido nor have been compensated for sharing these products, but I needed to share,because they have saved me many years and I am almost 45, with almost no wrinkles!
Now, let’s talk about our bodies, I love Aveno sunblock
I also use sunblock on my hair, yes, you heard it right! I use Redken sun mask, which I soak my hair with, before pulling up in a pony tail or a braid. It also protects my color treated hair!
It says after sun product, but my hairdresser told me to use before as well! It works!
Shisheido products can only be found at Macy’s and Sephora, the other ones can be found in supermarkets, stores, basically anywhere!

I actually never thought about using sunscreen for my hair at all!
