Hubby and son are pretty serious about watching games! There is always a chance that a bet may be placed on their favorites through a link fun88 website or one like it, however, my hubby never gets round to it as they just get entangled in the game. When football season starts, all I want to do is find new recipes and look for different ways to wow our guests and make the game day not only fun, but a great time when family and friends get together to share appetizers, a meal and drinks, before the serious business starts! After all, a great game day party starts with food, so today I am sharing 5 tips for hosting the best football party ever! You know how busy I am, how much I travel, so entertaining needs to be an easy, ready-to-go process without compromising the flavor and what I serve to my family and friends! That’s why I was so excited to find out during my last trip to Omaha Steaks headquarters, that they offer an assorted variety of game day options!
Here are my tips for hosting the best football party!
Prep Ahead
Think about a menu, ask your guests about food allergies, food preferences, any concerns. For example one of my guests this past weekend has a severe allergy to shrimp, but I wouldn’t have known if I hadn’t asked. One of the boys did not like burgers, so we made sure there were options for all! I had come back from a trip, so cooking everything from scratch was not an option. That’s when Omaha Steaks came to the rescue to give me a stress-free football party!
Here was my easy stress free game day menu:
Slow Cooker Meal: BBQ Mac and Cheese
Ground Beef Sliders
Game Day Greats
I love this combo so much I am sharing the current deal with you! Just click HERE to grab yours!
Here is an up close and personal with the best hotdog you’ll ever have!! Sooo good!
Filet Mignon Pastry Bites
One of my absolute favorites! I wanted to eat the whole tray! Sooo good! Just click on the pic to find out more!
Needless to say the food was a huge hit! Hubby grilled around our guests in true tailgating mode, we sat down and enjoyed the afternoon before the game started without the need for getting tired in the kitchen or over thinking the menu.
I used the Sweet Smoky Applewood BBQ Rub, which came in the package! Such a great addition to the traditional Mac and Cheese!
Since most of the food came in individual sizes, we only cooked what we needed and still had burgers and hotdogs for the next day!
Here are other tips to make your football party a stress free one:
-
Purchase nice paper and plastic goods, after all tailgating is better when you don’t have to do the dishes! I bought some silver plastic wear and nice red plates to match the decor!
-
Ask the family to pitch in and delegate chores so that the house/outdoors are all clean before your guests come and you won’t end up regretting having scheduled the party because you’re doing it all yourself!
-
Plan entertainment ahead, so if your kids don’t watch the games, plan something for them to do! I had the basketballs out and games for the kids, so everybody is happily entertained. My friend and I chatted away and grabbed a glass of wine!
But I wouldn’t be sharing all that and not giving you the opportunity to try some!
Yes, I am giving away a package of 4 5oz bacon wrapped filet mignon! Just click below and enter!
Oh and remember the boy who did not like burgers? He had 4 sliders and 2 burgers! His mom could not believe it!
I can’t wait to hear what you think! Comment below about your tailgating favorites and enter to win!
As usual, give us a Trendy Shout!
