I received the 2016 Chevy Malibu Premier for a week for review purposes, but all opinions are my own.
- It does 22 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and 32 mpg on the highway
- 2.0L Turbo with estimated 250 HP with the new 8 speed automatic, loooove the pick up!
- Its wheelbase has been stretched close to 4 inches and it is nearly 300 pounds lighter and you can feel it when you drive!
Now, to share my favorite features:
- Chevrolet’s “MyLink” with Apple Car Play Compatibility
- 4G internet also available
- The interior design reflects GM’s goal to offer a gorgeous interior with fuel economy and technology features!
Look – love how the design doesn’t prevent me from easily accessing the knobs and even the USB ports with my long nails!
It offers a heated steering wheel and front seats which in this brutal weather is definitely a plus! It also offers the lumbar support and other seat controls.
Love that it offers a wireless cell phone charger, but my iPhone 6Plus did not fit in it.
The Malibu also offers more space and the longer wheel base means more comfort! Look, my son is 6’2” and there is still a lot of space inside.
The accent lights across the panel and the panel lines, also give it that extra trendy style that you know, I love!
So my favorite feature since I have a pre-teen is the Teen Driving Assist, which allows parents to check max speed, warning alerts and more.
Also love the expanded safety features: Side blind zone alert, forward collision alert, rear cross traffic alert and the automatic parking assist, which I had the opportunity to test and I was really impressed with how responsive the features were.
Let’s Go Outside:
GM’s plan to offer a larger, more fuel efficient and new design definitely pays off! I love the dual port grille, contemporary lighting and LED daytime running lamps!
I had to show you a night view:
So much space in the trunk as well, lots of room for more shoes! You know I’m always thinking of shoes!
I also wanted to share my video with a quick overview and short ride, which I hope you enjoy!
Thank you so much joining me in another trendy auto review! What do you think about the All New Chevy Malibu? Do you love it as much as I do? Are you ready to put a Malibu key on your key chain?
As usual, give us a Trendy Shout! Let us know what you think!

That is definitely not the Chevy Malibu of yesteryear! I mean it was a pretty cool car before but wow! It looks even more impressive.

This Chevy Malibu is indeed a sweet ride. I really like the features as well as how cool the car looks. I really love that is has a good size screen which I would not have a problem seeing the icons on that awesome screen and the lights at night are really cool. The trunk is a big plus because of all the room in it.

I love the color and enjoyed your review! This car looks like a sweet ride.

I really love what they did with the Malibu. Love all the features and the paint job!
Jeanine
Wow it looks like a really amazing ride. I have heard great things about Malibu’s in the past. I don’t drive but if I did I’d like to think I’d have a nice car like this one.
Echo
I can’t believe how sleek the new Malibu kooks! I used to own one and I loved it. Perhaps, it’s time to go test drive a new one.

I’m actually in the market for a new vehicle. I’ve always loved Malibus! Your son is tall. My brother is 6’6″ and he never has room in my car when we go out together. My next vehicle will have more room in it. Thanks for sharing.
Terri Beavers
That’s a nice ride. I considered this car when I recently purchased a new car.
Carol Bryant
We are in the market for a new car this late summer. I love this candy apple red color!

What a great car! I love all the different features that help us survive better in a very cold weather.
Chantal

Nice ride, I checked this out at the Auto Show. They have come a long way, I also love all the features to make the kids safe while driving.
Loving the color.
Jessica Harlow
I really love this red color! Your pics make the car “pop” especially with the snow! I also like the design of the dash. Everything you need seems so easily accessible!
Alicia Taylor
I love the color! I also love that it doesn’t look like your typical soccer mom car!
Tori Gabriel
What a gorgeous car! I am currently learning to drive so I’m paying great attention to car reviews at the moment. I think this may be a bit too powerful for a begginer like me.
Amanda
This car looks like a sweet ride. With a heated steering wheel, this would be perfect for us Chicagoans. Just wonder how it handles heavy snow and ice, especially since it is called “Malibu.”
Miranda (Anosa)
Now that’s one beautiful Chevrolet, I wish I drove. What an amazing car to review.

What a gorgeous looking car, I’m learning to drive at the moment and I don’t know what Car to pick once I’ve passed!

Besides all of those amazing features, this does NOT look like a Chevy! What a pretty ride!
Alli
I love the color and the heated steering wheel. My aunt had a Malibu way back when I was in high school and she’d let my friends and I cruise around in her car. We thought we were hot stuff. I loved that car and I really love the new Malibu!
Paula Kiger (Big Green Pen)
Hi Claudia, I really enjoyed your review! Those teen safety driving features are among my FAVORITES (I have a 16 and 19 year old so that’s why!). It’s a gorgeous car, and I enjoyed your perspective on it!

I’m always interested in leg room in the back seat. My adult son is over 6 foot and my older teen will be with us a long time so a roomy back seat is a must.
