We did a few camping trips in 2020, but since my son will be out in college in fall, I want to squeeze a few camping trips before he leaves. Here is my Camping Bucket List for 2021.
Camping Bucket List For 2021
I still don’t feel too comfortable with going to hotels all the time, for me, camping gives me the best of both worlds: travel and be safe, minimizing the risk.
My Camping Bucket List for 2021 is more like a Bucket location list, we haven’t chosen the campgrounds yet!
All locations at a short driving distance for sure, 4 hours or less.
We do own a large tent, but I’m not sure if we will use it this year and some campgrounds having the public bathrooms closed.
I may give a thought to using an RV or campervan since they can be comfortable, and I can get some cool campervan accessories to make it more homely and fun. Modern RVs can have convertible beds, toilet boxes, storage consoles, electricity and water facility, etc., which can make camping a lot more comfortable, easy, and memorable.
And if nothing else, we can always rent cabins because having a kitchen and bathroom are camping essentials in my book!
In any case, I am thinking of carrying a solar generator kit with the other equipment just in case we lose power during the stay. There’s nothing called being too prepared when camping, am I right?
North Jersey
We want to hike in North Jersey, so looking for great campgrounds in that area to add the staycation and hiking as a bonus.
Virginia
My son is possibly going to college there, so we wanted to find a nice campground to enjoy it.
We’ve stayed in Virginia Beach a few years ago, you can read about it HERE.
This time, we’re looking at something closer, not sure where in that State yet!
Cape May
We loved staying at Cape May last year, it will definitely be a repeat for us!
Lake and beach nearby, maybe late June! We can partake in a few water adventure activities like skateboarding or float tubes.
We can look for float or river tube rental nearby and enjoy a bit in the water. Can’t wait!
Poconos
We have never gone camping in the Poconos, so we wanted to add that to our late Spring list!
Would love to stay near a lake where my boys can go fishing and I can grab a good book and enjoy the water views.
Jersey Shore
My son has been asking to stay at the shore at a different location, for the past two years.
I am looking for a campground with cabins near Ocean City or Wildwood, in that area, a more teen friendly area, which is what he’s looking for.
Last year we went to the beach at least once a week, I’m hoping for a little staycation this time.
It’s going to be his graduation gift!
What do you think of my Camping Bucket List for 2021?
Can’t wait to hear what you think!
As usual, give us a Trendy Shout!
Jane Muzyka
I enjoy camping in the Catskills or the Adirondacks. So many trails to explore! In Northern New Jersey Worthington State Forest by the Delaware Water Gap has a nice campground. So does Stokes State Forest. Good luck!
