I was super excited to have a chance to experience the Impala 2016 and all the amazing features, I am now going to share with you!
The four-cylinder LTZ has been dropped, leaving the V6 engine as the sole choice for the top-of-the-line model, and the “sueded cloth” upholstery that was optional on last year’s LT model has been replaced by leather.
The Impala offers a beautiful and roomy interior, impressive safety features and the most powerful naturally aspirated V6 engine in its class. A smooth ride, excellent handling abilities and good fuel economy only serve to sweeten the deal.
The Impala now offers Apple CarPlay and wireless phone charging. My iPhone 6+ did not fit in the charger, though.

It passed the smoothie test! The large cup size made the large smoothie cup fits perfectly!
Loved having my seat heating and cooling options at my finger tips, much more functional than up in the front panel.
Do you know when you go to a club or concert and you want to hide things from the valet, but don’t want to bring them with you? This vehicle has the perfect option!
Also loved the option of a few USB outlets, not just one, like some of the vehicles I have experienced!
Let’s talk safety! The Impala is equipped with:
- OnStar Wifi
- forward collision alert
- lane departure warning
- side blind zone alert
Very economic, we had a chance to experience the 28 miles per gallon. We drove to NY Auto Show and the ride was extremely comfortable and quiet. We actually did 28 mpg on the highway, which surprised me!
I also had a chance to take take it to several errands and it was a great ride around town as well as having amazing room in the trunk and gorgeous 19″ wheels!
Perfect large mirror that allowed me to put together the perfect make up look in and out of the NY auto show!
A very spacious back gave my 6’3″ 12 year old plenty of room and no complaints like: “move your seat forward, mom” talk, I often hear!

Love the gorgeous emblem, as if it’s propelling the vehicle to soar to new heights!
Thought I should mention that it had excellent crash test scores!
The Impala put a smile on my face! It’s definitely the vehicle, if you are looking for price, comfort, fuel economy and jam packed features!
In case you are wondering about the price, the 2016 Chevy Impala sedan has a Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of roughly $28,000 for an LS model with the 4-cylinder engine. Impala V6 models start around $31,200 and can reach the low-$40,000 mark. The new bi-fuel gasoline/CNG Impala starts just over $38,300. At its base price, the 2016 Impala undercuts the Toyota Avalon, Nissan Maxima, Hyundai Azera and Kia Cadenza, though all of those come standard with a V6 and their prices become more comparable with a V6 Impala. The MSRP of the model I drove was $39,825.00.

I love car play so much that when we were on vacation I forgot my phone in the rental car and had to go searching the parking garage to find my phone. Not the best thing to do at the airport that’s for sure! Our next vehicle will have it for sure.
The trunk is surprisingly roomy. That will come in quite handy!
