Holiday Party Safety Tips

I skipped hosting my holiday open house in 2020, for obvious reasons, so before planning our party this year, I wanted to make sure safety was our top priority. So today I will share some Holiday Party Safety Tips with you!

Timed Invite

Plan ahead, reduce your list to half. Less is more when it comes to indoor gatherings, in my opinion. 

Choose the open house style, instead of start time, and give different guests a different window for the party, which will probably allow you to have less people during that window. 

Ex. 

Family 1 – Open House 3-5PM

Family 2 – Open House 4-6PM

Family 3 – Open House 5-7PM

My suggestion is that you keep the party to 10 families or less, depending on the amount of people in each family.

Food

I know a lot of people have concerns about buffet style, right? 

So my choice for food is having it catered with hot appetizers and cold cuts, board/crackers, and bread, but have two people behind the food serving.

Desserts will be individually wrapped.

Party Favors

Every year, I ask guests to bake their favorite cookies and bring them to share. 

This year instead, I will be asking them to bring a toy to be donated to a local charity, and their favorite beverage. 

I will have as our party favor – an awesome gift for all the families! I love it so much that I will be sharing a step by step tutorial of New Jersey Lottery Scratch Off Tickets as our party favor gifts! 

Step 1 

Separate the tickets individually

Step 2 

Use a gift bag and place the ticket inside, finishing it with a twist tie. 

Step 3 

Set a Holiday Box on a table by your front door and add paper scraps to hold the bags up right, making sure your guests see the party favor on the way out. Plus it makes a beautiful display as well! 

Step 5 

Add the bags to the bottom of the box, making sure they are standing up. 

Step 6
