March for us is Home Spring Cleaning Month! We purge, buy new items, redecoration is in full bloom as the flowers show the first colors of Spring!
Every year we choose five areas to extend our Spring Cleaning full force, so I am going to share what projects we’ll be Home Spring Cleaning this year:
My Home Office
My home office is the place where I spend most of my day! This makes it important for me to keep the space clean throughout the day. And because of this, I tend to prefer employing an office disinfection service, to take care of the cleaning. Beyond this, I would also want it to be an inspirational space! Right now, it has a million boxes for ongoing projects and the colors are black and mustard, classic but not inviting! So my goal is to bring some colorful pillows, and some gray curtains. I don’t want to paint the walls which have a mustard/golden tone. As well as switching up the lights for perhaps some chandeliers, just to make it a little brighter. Speaking of lights, chandeliers do seem like a good option, but what about some natural light during the day? Switching out the existing windows for some replacement windows sounds like a tempting idea, if I am being honest here. I’m also going to frame some Magazine appearances and highlights to inspire me to dream! I also want to possibly change the carpet, that will be the only major renovation project in there! For now, though, I’m bringing the carpet back to life with the good old fashioned carpet cleaning. I’ve seen that the carpet cleaning in Hilton Head is superb and I want in on that action! It might even make me change my mind about replacing the carpets once the grotty stains are all gone. Although, I have been peeping at new flooring options.
Closets
I keep my clothing in separate closets. One for Winter and Fall, another one for Spring and Summer! The Summer one is super messy right now, so my goal is to remove some pieces for donation and add a shoe place to be able to have more summer shoes in there, so I don’t have to be going back and forth! I shared some tips on organizing closets here, thought you might want to check!
Deck
This is what my deck looked like two years ago! Last year, a storm broke our table and kind of ruined most of the furniture, so we bought a new table but we’re looking into replacing our chairs and our seating area with possibly a lounge couch and a larger umbrella by the fireplace! I also want to find a colorful rug as well!
We love spending time on our deck! It’s our go to place in the spring and summer, so we want to make sure it’s ready by May!
Landscaping
Every year we add new mulch, but I feel like our plants are overgrown, so I want to hire a professional service to bring new mulch, do it the right way and prune plants and remove what’s not looking good!
Home Theater
We’re REALLY excited about this project! We love great sound and technology!!! So this spring it’s time to get a better home theater experience!
Our home theater sound system is fairly new but we feel that it doesn’t enhance our speakers, so we will be looking for options also on 4K TVs, to improve what we currently have, since we’re huge TV/Movie fans!
Having that in mind, I wanted to share Magnolia’s March AudioFest which is one month of remarkable deals on premium audio gear! Great savings on speakers, receivers, wireless audio gear, headphones, hi-res audio products and so much more. With special weekly savings, great deals online and other amazing offers they can only offer at Best Buy, you’ll want to check back often.
It’s March AudioFest; extraordinary audio at incredible prices, all month long! So now is the time!
Audio is at the heart of who Magnolia is. Because even though they offer plenty of video gear, it’s the audio that takes you from just watching, just listening, just playing, to experiencing your movies, music and video games like never before. And with their premium selection of audio gear from the world’s most sought-after brands, you’ll be experiencing a home entertainment environment where the walls magically melt away and you find yourself transformed to a world where your entertainment truly comes to life.
We’re also going to look for a new recliner as well! So exciting!
When you’re ready to experience premium audio at amazing prices, stop into your nearest Magnolia store and start hearing things in a whole new way.
Hurry, because it happens in March only!
I can’t wait to hear about the Home Spring Cleaning projects you’re working on! As usual, give us a Trendy Shout!

Your spring cleaning projects sound so exciting! Would love to try that idea!

We were just talking about this yesterday. We always start with the windows, inside and out. Letting in more light gives us motivation to do more!

No big spring cleaning projects on tap here. I do have to go through the clothes soon i order to get ready for summer.

These are great ideas! I’m really focused on getting our deck/patio area spruced up this year. With my grandson around, I think we’ll be spending a lot of time out there.

Sounds like you have a lot of projects on your hands. We’re looking into doing our backyard this year as our one big project as we did the front last year. Also doing a few little things in the home, but nothing major. Good luck on your spring cleaning.
Melissa Chapman
Last spring I did a big purge of my closet and gave away a few bags to good will. I can see you have great ideas to revamp the office and out doors good luck!

In California we have 1 season: Summer- so my closet is huge and very hard to organize. However, I do make a point to go through for donations quarterly.
Sherry
I need to start my Spring cleaning. My closets definitely need to be gone through.
Allison Cooper
Love your beautiful deck! We just did spring cleaning here in our tiny little NYC apartment so I was able to tackle everything in a 2 days deep cleaning – done until next year hah!
Amy
Very earthy colored office. I am actually spring cleaning over here today too. It is very refreshing!

I have so many areas of my house that need a good cleaning, or really just a good decluttering. I have to get on that!
Jeanette
I definitely start cleaning the house in the spring. I opened up all the windows and air out the house and scrub it from top to bottom. I also start going through things and purging. I like everything you mentioned here also.

This is a strange year for us. When we moved to Arizona we decided to rent instead of buying, so the normal home repair projects we’d tackle aren’t on our list this year. I’m planning on getting some new throw pillows for our living room and new bedding for a few of the bedrooms. I’ll also be planning a trip to Best Buy to check out all the cool audio stuff they have on sale!
