My son is enjoying his Invisalign treatment so much that I decided to share our experience with you! As a teen, self confidence and other peer pressure issues come into play at this age. He was concerned about having braces, but everything changed once we started our Invisalign treatment.
Today I want to share five reasons, among many others, why Invisalign Treatment is the best option for teens:
-
Between sporting events, hanging with friends, classes, and social get-togethers, teenagers today have busy schedules and face greater challenges when it comes to confidence, right? Imagine being able to give your teen a straighter teeth and more confident smile, without the hassle and embarrassment of traditional metal braces!
-
Metal braces can affect your kids lives in many ways. Invisalign clear aligners, since they fit firmly onto the teeth and are removable, allow your teen to be a teen. Your sports fanatic can continue to play sports without the concerns of metal or wires hurting their gums. Just make sure you check with your dentist (such as this dentists Herndon) which activities are ok for your teen to take part in whilst wearing their aligners – you don’t want any accidents!
-
Teens often fear that metal braces would cause them to be teased and keep them from fitting in with their peers. Invisalign aligners are virtually invisible, and allow them to achieve a healthy, confident smile without any embarrassment, ridicule, or fear.
-
When your teenager follows the orthodontist’s recommendations, these clear braces for teens can be just as effective as metal braces. Invisalign treatment has been proven to be successful in correcting both mild and severe cases, so the chances are high that your teenager could benefit from Invisalign treatment.
-
Metal braces require orthodontic appointments to adjust bands and wires. In our experience with Invisalign treatment, we only have to go in to the orthodontist every 4-6 weeks. We receive new sets of aligners and checkups on the progress of our teeth. We are seeing Dr. Iyer for our treatment.
So excited to be on this journey along side my son! You can read more about my own experience HERE. We’re both wearing the Invisalign clear aligners in this picture, you can’t even tell, right?

I love this. My niece got braces and HATES them…so next year, she’s getting Invisalign and she cannot wait! Her bestie (they are 13 year olds) has them and raves about them!

I had braces when I was in my teens and now have the invisaligns for my second time around. Having worn both, invisalign is nothing like braces where every teeth in your mouth was in pain when they tightened the wires. Would do invisaligns 100% before the braces

I love that these Invisalign are removable and not imposing or noticeable. No frequent trips to the dentist too!

This sounds great for my son! I’ll let him know about it.

I wish this was available when my children needed braces! It would have been easier for them to focus on their sports activities but my boys had to lay low and wait until treatment was over. Invisalign is such an innovative procedure. Will recommend this to friends.

Knock on wood my kids don’t need braces. I have only ever heard amazing things about incisalign
Theresa
My daughter had the metal braces and man, they were a p.i.a. Snapped brackets and painful tightening. I wish we would have went with Invisalign!
Brianne
My son has invisalign right now and loves it too. I’m so impressed with how quickly his teeth are shifting!

I’m wondering if Invisalign is a good choice for adults bc I’m about to check into it.

My kids also have pretty busy schedules. The idea of taking them to the ortho frequently doesn’t quite fit our lives. Another point for Invisalign.

My son has braces but not invisalign and they are not as nice. I am lucky they are coming off soon and the results should be good.

I have read so much about Invisalign and the benefits of using them. Being rubber band and cement-free are just two reasons anyone should choose this!

I wish this had been around when I was a teen, I hated how visible my braces were, something like this would have been much better! Great how things have come on.

What a difference this must make for a teen’s self esteem versus the traditional braces. I will keep these in mind for my kids.

Invisalign is great! I love that you don’t have to deal with all the cement and rubber bands of traditional braces. They also help keep the kids feeling confident, as well.
