The World Cup fever totally took over me! Just by speaking with my parents and everywhere I look, there are references, products, it’s everywhere!
I wanted to share what does The World Cup and the whole Ole, Ola sung by Pit Bull, Jennifer Lopez, Claudia Leite mean for us Brazilians!
Let’s start by sharing this year’s theme, which is so wrong and so right in my opinion! So wrong because Brazil is known for it’s beautiful music, so it would only make sense that the anthem is sung by a Brazilian singer, but so right because bringing Hispanic singers on a marketing perspective, brings a world touch, since Brazilian music is not as popular as Hispanic Music.
The Ole Ole Ola is the shout millions of Brazilians have used during world cup games! The unison choir of voices and hearts beating together, counting on the goal! Soccer for us is more than a sport, it’s a fever, a healthy madness that takes over the nation!
Speaking with my mom who lives in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, I was surprised to hear that they will shut down her city, a city as large as Philadelphia for the games. No hospital, no schools, no malls. Just good old soccer, futebol!
After all the talk about World Cup, this Brazilian had to wear some patriotic attire! I wanted to share two looks I put together with two of my favorite tees!
Maxi Pants – Target
Shirt – Color Latino
Sandals -JCPenney
Shorts – Target
Shirt – Forever 21
Sandals – Kohls
Have a I inspired you? Are you ready to combine your own style favs and get ready to watch the games? Can’t wait to hear what your favorites are!
