I had the honor of attending the #Pruspera Event in October, an amazing initiative by Prudential to help Hispanic Entrepreneurs build a more secure business and personal financial future for today and tomorrow! If you have not thought about your finances before, then this is certainly for you. There is a lot of help out there that you can tap into, whether you go for Financial Planning Services Grand Rapids or you attend one of these events, you need to be prepared for whatever comes your way, personally and professionally.
Did you know that even though the number of Hispanic businesses is growing in leaps and bounds, with more than 4.25 million in the U.S. today, Hispanic entrepreneurs often struggle to implement strong financial planning and cash management for the future? I had no idea! This can take a toll on their business, so they need to know what to do to help themselves where possible, this can include things like looking into using a virtual office rental or co-working space to help them save money as they may not need the expense of an office, so they can put it in other areas that may be of benefit to them.
Latinos represent 17% of the population and are starting more new businesses than the general population! I was just amazed to see the numbers and realize that – yet we receive less access to opportunities and get less than 1% of all venture capital (although those with businesses in rural locations may have usda b&i eligibility, so that could be an option for finance). Obtaining the right finances is incredibly important for small businesses who are trying to make a go of things with solid footing, that is why they need to have the opportunity to tap into what they need when they need it, whether that be looking into the best bank for small business or speaking to local investors for a chance at expanding on their business plan.

A large part of Prudential’s involvement with the Hispanic Federation and Accion is to ensure that Hispanic business owners have the foundation to thrive through financial education. They provide the strategies and resources to grow and protect their businesses as well as personal assets, maintaining a work-life balance, guaranteeing income in retirement, college planning and leaving a legacy for future generations.
