New edition of first buyer car, following my series, as we navigate through helping my son get started on his way to becoming a responsible and awesome driver!
I specifically chose the Nissan Kicks because it offers some of my son’s must have items on a Gen Z vehicle!
5 Reasons Why The Nissan Kicks Is The Perfect Gen Z Ride
Space
An awesome option, for a CUV, giving your tall first time buyer all the space and more!
My 6’8” son fit comfortably in it!
It’s a great starter vehicle for tall teens and GenZrs!
Sound
The 7″ Touchscreen Display Audio System with 6 speaker Bluetooth, Hands-free Phone System and all the technology must haves; plus Alexa and Google Home enabled features give this GenZ ride an overhaul of options!
Love the hands-free option because the teen’s attention belongs on the road, not on the phone. Don’t you agree?
Also love the Bose Speakers on the front passengers’ headrest, as it brings my favorite tunes straight to my ears, offering such an amazing sound quality!
My son is a huge music fan. He had a chance to experience his favorite tunes on Spotify and so much more!
Making the Nissan Kicks my absolute favorite tech choice for the innovation hungry generation!
Price
Starting at 20K, the Nissan Kicks is an option for a not so basic first time buyer ride. It will still keep you within a low budget, while offering all the bells & whistles you’ll need from this perfect Gen Z car.
Fuel Economy
Teens are known for running on empty, right? Their first jobs will normally not give them the option of owning a gas guzzling ride!
My son is super busy, between his daily gym trainings, basketball practices, AAU games and his school, he needs a reliable, tech and fuel efficient ride!
That’s why I love the Kicks, because even though it is a step up for the conventional first buyer rides, it will allow you to not compromise on the fuel efficiency, letting your teen/young driver explore those cool places, go camping, head to game practices with much less gas than other comparable vehicles in the market.
Here’s is my take: there’s an app for that!
I love that the Nissan Connect App gives me the chance to check, find and even disable the vehicle.
You know, our kids don’t always make the best choices, so it’s great to have the option of being a mama-bear from the distance!
Here is what you should know:
In order to get all the updates, you will have to dish a bit more and stay around the 23K range.
If you’re looking for super powers, know that the Kicks will be there for you for your city and weekend needs. But if you’re looking for rumble and tumble and a fast engine, you should test drive it and decide.
The Nissan Kicks got our seal of approval from both mom and future driver!
I love a car that makes me look younger just by driving it!
My son loves it for the reasons above and more….
I think we both look good in it, what do you think?
Do you have a teen who will be driving soon?
Are you ready for it?
I’ve shared more tips on teen driving HERE.
It was the first time, after reviewing so many vehicles that my son asked me to sit and try the Nissan Kicks to see how it felt!
It was a Mom “Wow” moment for me! Love when cars connect us with special moments like these!
I will be sharing more on the Gen Z Ride on my journey to guiding my teen down the driving path and his first car, just stay tuned.

If it can accommodate someone with his height, I know it has the room I need. I also like its not a huge jump in price to have some extra perks. Just think of the gas savings as a way to pay for the difference.

Thanks for sharing the scoop on the Nissan! I have drove a Nissan but I haven’t ever owned one. I used to want a Pathfinder.
