I’ve received the Toyota Tundra for review purposes, but as usual, all opinions are my own.
We own an older truck and even though we use it a lot, it lacks a lot of what makes a great truck an awesome vehicle. Today I’m sharing how you can be Ready For Adventures With The Toyota Tundra.
Ready For Adventures With The Toyota Tundra
We took the Tundra i-FORCE Max camping and it didn’t disappoint! It reminded us why having a large 4×4 vehicle makes your outdoor adventures easier and more fun!
Here are some of the reasons why we loved the Tundra:
Made For Adventures
Let’s check it out!
The design and features call for outdoor fun!
Loved the lines and details on the special trim – TRD-Pro i-Force Max, the seats, the red stitching, just trendy and beautiful:
Fuel Efficiency
The Toyota Tundra i-FORCE Max Hybrid brought us the awesome Hybrid Truck Life, which with the current gas prices, is a must!
I know when you think truck, you don’t think about fuel efficiency but we were able to average 19- 22 miles/gallon with the Tundra Hybrid and drive over 700 miles RT on one tank. Pretty good, right?
You may be thinking Hybrid to you means better miles/gallon, and if you compare it with other Trucks, you’ll be happy with the results.
Power
When you think about hybrid, you think about under powered vehicles, well, the Tundra showed us otherwise!
The powerful engine that responds when you push it, opened a whole new door of possibilities and changed the way we viewed Hybrid Vehicles!
You know I love fuel efficient vehicles but also love the engine rumble and feeling the power when driving! The Toyota Tundra i-FORCE Max gave me the best of both worlds.
Loved the 3.5 L twin-turbo V6 hybrid engine offering 437 horsepower for maximum off-road capability.
Towing Capacity
Even though we did not tow our camping gear, the Toyota Tundra Hybrid equipped with The TRD Pro is available in one configuration: the CrewMax 5.5 foot-bed. Its maximum towing capacity is 11,175 pounds, and its maximum payload is 1,600 pounds. This makes it a serious candidate for any future camping adventures you have in mind!
Storage Space
We loved the ability to fold up back seats and fit our camping gear and supplies inside the truck.
Just hubby and I on this trip, so we didn’t need to use the trunk bed at all! Room to spare inside for our camping must haves!
Space
My son sat down to check it out and said it was the first time he moved the seat all the way back and couldn’t reach the pedals.
Keep in mind he’s 6’9″!
Well Lit Truck Bed
Camping and spending time outdoors often moves into the night.
The Cabin and Tent Sites are often in the dark to give campers privacy, so, having the extra light in the truck bed gave us the wow factor when enjoying our site at night and being able to have that support light when we were enjoying S’mores or just sitting by the fire!
Cameras
All the cameras and views make the towing, parking and driving jobs easier and safer.
Check some of the angles out!
City Ready
If you think trucks are just for 4×4 outdoor adventures, think twice!
We took the Tundra to Saratoga Springs to explore on our rainy day and we had no trouble navigating the small town. The truck’s camera views made parking in the city super easy as well.
Show Stopper
After coming back from our camping trip, we took the Toyota Tundra to a birthday party, I wish I had a picture of the parade of friends checking the truck out!
At some point we had 12 people in and out the vehicle!
Two of our outdoor lover friends are considering purchasing one! Love when my enthusiasm for a vehicle is shared with my community and friends who take the next step to own that vehicle!
Honestly, the only way I would upgrade my truck now, would be purchasing a Hybrid!
Can’t wait to hear what you think!
Save for later:
As usual, give us a Trendy Shout!

Awesome! This truck looks like a great big thing. The exterior will really give you an amazing view of the truck itself. The bulky front makes it looks really cool. Loved it!

I want a Tundra sooooo bad. We’re looking for a new truck, and I’ve been really pushing for one. They have all the power we need, and they look amazing.
Stephanie
I would love a truck like this for camping! We camp with the Cub Scouts and as Cubmaster, I have a lot to bring. It never fits well in my SUV. If this would fit in my garage I would have a truck, but I won’t park a vehicle outside.
