We started the event with a super fun Photo Op, after all, who doesn’t want to hang out by Oprah!
We were invited to have a drink and enjoy the amazing food before all the fun started!
The Event brought me some fond memories and made me really reflect on how far I’ve come … I remembered sitting with my son, since he was a toddler and, year after year, in my living room, wishing I was in the audience for the Oprah Favorite Things Show!
I am going to confess, when I received the invite, I just wanted to be there … I expected a fun night, checking out that super special list, but I had no idea I was in for many special treats.
We suddenly found out that what happened in the studio, also would happen at the party! We would go home with amazing gifts! I’m talking about more than half of the list! Wow! Just Wow!
But if that wasn’t enough, Oprah surprised us, joining us, opening her speech with tequila shots! Yes, I brought my tequila glass home, it will forever be in my office, as a symbol of that pinch me moment and yes, she was this close to me!!!
Being in the front row, as an Oprah Magazine Brand Ambassador, just 2 feet away from Oprah, sharing a tequila shot and answering questions she asked was more than a dream come true! It was a vision board moment elevated exponentially!
The universe delivered more than I bargained for!!
She also shared some amazing news, talked about her new book and how much she treasures the list and giving all those items to us!
I loved hearing an insert of her new book: The Wisdom of Sundays, life changing insights from Super Soul Conversations and I love that her proceeds go to her non profit school for girls.
It’s such an amazing list, curated by Oprah, herself and most of the items have a connection to her or things she likes.
Listening to Gail give us insider notes on some of the gifts and why they were chosen, such as the truffles … Oprah says she puts them on everything, from eggs to salads! All the stories behind the choices made the list even more special to me!

To say that I left the event feeling happy is an understatement. The whole experience was one of the most amazing things that has happened to me in my 9 years of blogging.
Feeling to honored and grateful that the magazine chose me to be in attendance! The event kicked-off the Holiday Season for me! I can’t wait to gift some of my friends some items from the list!

I LOVED this post! You are living my dream! EVERY SINGLE YEAR I looked forward to the holiday Oprah’s Favorite Things Show! I would record it on my VCR and watch it with baited breath! I truly miss that hourly show. I cried when it went off the air. She has been such and inspiration to me and now you are an inspiration to me! I love all of these gifts and there are a few that I want to gift just to myself like Oprahs’ book! I have been a lover of books about living your passion and finding your path in life and books that have words of wisdom. That’s where I am in my life right now.
