I love Georgia! All the times I’ve been to that State, I was greeted with smiles, comfort food and warm welcomes! Last month I had a chance to cruise through Savannah with the Toyota Corolla, here are my highlights.
Nothing better than Southern hospitality with a hint of sophistication, that is what the Perry Lane Hotel in Savannah offers!
A blend of beautiful artifacts, unspoken elegance and impeccable decor, welcomes you behind the doors of the second building, where my room was located:
I loved the hotel so much I will bring an up-close look to you soon!
Because this is all about:
Cruisin’ Savannah
Downtown Savannah
We headed downtown first, searching for history and the best place to try shrimp and grits and enjoy the warm weather!
Doesn’t it look amazing?
Downtown, just a few blocks from the Perry Lane Hotel, is the City Market and a cozy street with beautiful Georgia flavor in every corner!
History in every corner:
Couldn’t miss the fudge and cookies from Byrd’s Famous Cookies:
So much Southern Charm in every building. It reminded of my hometown in Brazil; the colonial feeling in the air.
I could almost imagine the plantation owners, the workers and warm friendly disposition my city once had:
So impressed with how beautiful and well maintained the historic homes were!
It is as if those steps would lead you into another era:
Moving on to check the park where Forest Gump’s bench was once placed, but has been removed.
I also stopped to check out the art deco movie theater, definitely a trendy stop:
Leaving downtown and observing the first signs of the beautiful nature around Savannah!
Savannah’s Shores
We headed out and picked up a new Toyota Corolla and took it to the shore and stumbled upon the Tybee Lighthouse:
Yes, I went all the way up to have a beautiful ocean view!
Wasn’t it worth it?
This Latina needed some coffee! So we stopped at Tybean Coffee for a fresh brewed latte! Sooo good! It was a small store island, where surf was definitely up!
Very retro, so 70s, a completely different vibe from downtown:
I miss not having the ocean near me, so, every single opportunity I have, I make sure I get as close to the ocean as I can! The ocean is so beautiful, it is no wonder why people want to go live by it, you get to wake up every single morning and stare out into that beautiful sea of blue as well as get that ocean air in your lungs, what could be better! I knew of someone who very recently moved her family to an ocean view home as she had to relocate for work and wanted to get as close as possible to it. It was something similar to San Clemente Ocean View Homes I think, however, there are so many options out there for different areas if you are willing to take the leap and see what you could hopefully move to.
Considering I only had two days, I truly enjoyed cruising Savannah!

Can’t wait to hear what you think!
As usual, give us a Trendy Shout!
I received a super cool Toyota Corolla to cruise Savannah, but this is not a sponsored post and all opinions are my own.
