Picture this: snow falling, beautiful ride to a gorgeous hotel encrusted in a PA mountain and … an awesome amusement park to color this picture and make our stay one of the most fun vacations we’ve ever had!
I’m talking about our trip to Hershey a few weeks ago! The snow falling was the icing on the cake to make our trip to Hershey Park and the Candy Lane so perfect!
Here are a few of the reasons why you should visit Hershey Park during the Holiday Season and why it is a must visit spot if you have a teen:
Candy Lane
When I arrived, I was under the impression Candy Lane was an area of the park, an attraction! No, Candy Lane was the whole park, transformed into the beautiful holiday version of a place we love so much!
Festive Lights and Entertainment
You will see more than 4 million lights deck the halls of Hersheypark® in celebration of the season! Get in the holiday spirit with a choreographed light show, festive live entertainment, and so much more!
Holiday Rides
More than 50 of your favorite rides, including 6 coasters! When we went it was snowing, so we didn’t get to enjoy too many of the rides, but we hope to be back soon to enjoy them! Plus, for the first time ever during Hersheypark® Christmas Candylane®, enjoy Hershey Triple Tower™ and SidewinderSM.
We took a train ride and enjoyed seeing the lights around the park!
Santa and The Reindeer
Did you know Santa and all 9 of his reindeer make a special stop at Hersheypark Christmas Candylane every year? Visit Santa then stop by the reindeer stables to get an up-close look at your favorite reindeer, including Rudolph!
Santa told me, that there is no age for a Santa picture sooooo
Trust me, he was the nicest Santa ever…..
We’ve both been good!
Then we went to see Rudolf and the Reindeer!
Here are also a few things my son loved and I know every teen would love about Hershey Park in the winter:
Hot Cocoa Everywhere
Every five steps there was a vendor of hot cocoa and winter treats! My son had a blast sipping through them! It was the perfect drink on a cold snowy night!
Rides
Even though my son couldn’t enjoy all of the rides due to snow, he loved seeing them at night and in the winter! It was the perfect excuse for him to ask us to come back! We really had fun together on the train!
Reindeer
Think only little ones like Reindeer? Think twice! So many older kids were enjoying the stable, taking selfies and snapping shots with the cute Santa’s helpers.
Stocking Stuffers
My son stopped at a few gift stores and picked up some gifts for his stocking! It was the first year he was able to pick his own gifts! Of course we have more surprises in store!
We’re definitely going to be back this winter!! I promised him we would!

That’s sad you weren’t able to try many of the rides. I know that whenever it rains out here they shut down those roller coaster rides as well. It does look like such a fun time. I would love to go visit. And you are never too old to get a picture with Santa Claus. 😉

Hershey Park is a must visit place during Christmas. I love the light displays. It really makes Christmas so magical.
First let me say I love everything about Christmas season except for the extreme cold. My birthday is near Christmas so lights, sparkles and gifts is like a big Bday celebration. Although, its not really about me. I love it.

I have been to Hershey Park once, but only as a side trip. We were visiting my husband’s family who lives close to Hershey Park. I would love to back someday to explore it more. Hopefully next winter we will be able to do that.
I’ve never been, but would I like to go? Yesss! It looks like a lot of fun. I love walking through the lights during the holiday time. I did that on a recent trip to Texas and enjoy it in Michigan at the zoo!
The displays some people come up with are so fantastic. I could look at them for days!

An amusement park dedicated to the sweet treats I love. I couldn’t imagine anything better…unless you add in the holidays. It’s my favorite time of year!
We went to Hershey Park once during the holidays when my sister first moved! Such sweet memories! We loved comparing our heights to the chocolate bars. But I don’t remember all of this fun. Time to go back!

I visited Hershey Park a few years ago and had a great time. Their decorations are always great no matter what time of year.

Visiting places like this during the season is always something we enjoy. I don’t live close enough to visit yours but we have some wonderful ones around here where I live. Get out and go enjoy.
