This post has been brought to you in partnership with MomTrends but as usual, all opinions are my own.
Once I started seeing the 5G symbol on my phone, I wondered if it would give me real life results or if it was just a new term for phone companies. In this new Episode of T-Mobile Mobile Diaries, we’ll hear about how our mobile connectivity impacts our lives.
What Does 5G Mean To You?
To me, 5G and faster, reliable mobile connectivity that T-Mobile offers means being able to cover an event, doing my work more effectively thanks to fast download speeds, lag free web browsing, and sharing that sunset when I’m traveling in IRL with my community – like I did at Saranac Lake a few weeks ago.
It means having access to my tools and editing apps on the go to share my best content with you all!
It also means not losing connectivity when I want to go off-grid and being able to use things like hiking apps and not get lost.

It also means being able to chat with minha familia in Brazil and South America and having a reliable service to chat and grab a recipe from my mom or sister to make for my family and friends.
Like this delicious Formigueiro Cake .
I also get excited to hear from the experts what’s possible in the near future thanks to 5G, which is why I loved the latest episode of the Mobile Diaries:
Title: The Next Chapter in 5G
The way our mobile connectivity impacts our lives is apparent in most everything we do today, but what about tomorrow, next year — or even next decade? T-Mobile Chief Marketing Officer Mike Katz joined the show’s hosts to talk about how 5G is unleashing the potential of our connected lives in ways we couldn’t have imagined even just a few years ago. They reviewed some of the white-hot wireless advances that have been made since the beginning of the pandemic, and how T-Mobile’s 5G future is swiftly coming into focus.
After you listen to the episode, I want to ask, what does 5G mean to you?
Now Some Exciting Back To School News Thanks To The Power of T-Mobile’s 5G:
Project 10MillionYou know I volunteer as a Translator to help the Hispanic Community in Camden, which is a city where poverty and immediate family needs such as food & shelter are priorities for the city government. School is also a priority in that community and all around us, which means connectivity is vital to help kids whether for homework and research or even for virtual classes.
Project 10Million is an initiative aimed at delivering internet connectivity to millions of underserved student households at no cost to them. Partnering with school districts across the country, the program offers free high-speed data and free mobile hotspots—and access to at-cost laptops and tablets.
Since it’s launch in March 2020, after the Covid-19 pandemic made hybrid learning the new norm for millions of students across the U.S., T-Mobile has continued to enhance Project 10Million to offer more low-cost data options, including unlimited, for school districts to pass on to student households at no cost to them. Each eligible student can still get the 100GB/year plan for FREE OR their school district can apply for the 100GB per month plan—which has about 3x the data the company saw used by students at the start of the pandemic.
And they’re offering schools a low-cost unlimited option, too. For example, if a student’s district isn’t participating in the program, their family can sign up for P10M directly HERE or check with their local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapter to see if Project 10Million is available.
School administrators and educators can learn more about Project 10Million and apply for their district at www.t-mobile.com/p10m.
As we kick off the 2022-2023 school year, it’s critical that students and families have the tools and resources they need to succeed whether its by bridging the homework gap caused by the digital divide or providing reliable connectivity for hybrid learning classrooms.
Parents have been seen all over social media praising the program and the fact that with a mobile hotspot through Project 10Million, their kids can stay connected with teachers and peers, conduct research, upload homework and participate in virtual classes
Very exciting news, isn’t it?
I can’t wait to hear what you think about the future of reliable mobile connectivity.
As usual, give us a Trendy Shout.

I don’t use 5G for moment. We don’t have this possibility in our area, but I can’t wait for it! I hope that everything will be easier with 5G
Ice Cream N Sticky Fingers
I use a ton of data because of the types of jobs that I do on a regular basis. I do have 5g with Tmobile and it works great. We just have this one dead zone where there isn’t enough signal or there are too many people in one location. Maybe a new tower would be helpful. I dunno.
Beautiful Touches
Project 1Million sounds like a wonderful opportunity to provide to underserved students!

I’m not sure about 5G. When I camp, my access seems to be tightly limited. Its a shame, as I want to share the beautiful outdoors!
