My son is Lucas, who is 10 and my #MomsMVP; he was born 2 months premature and even though his arrival almost took my life and prevented me from having other children, I knew things happen for a reason and I had received a very special gift! His music talent, being 5’8” at the age of ten and owning his own blog are nothing compared to the small gifts he gives me every day, the gift of being who he is, of being my boy!
That’s why we were so excited to be participating in the Kodak PIXPRO challenge, because no matter what life brings to him, he will always be MomsMVP!
We have an action packed “playground” right in our “backyard”: the small forest surrounding our town. We often walk, run up and down hills, skip rocks and cross the bridges built by local volunteers, which make our action fun time even more exciting since we get to do it all outdoors with mother nature as our only spectator! The camera brought our experience to life, since it captured our ins and outs with precision and most of our videos in the woods were done by the camera on my son’s headband.
We couldn’t miss our bike rides and scooter strolls! The bike ride and scooter time reached a whole new level of fun with the camera attached to the bike and scooter!
My son was asking afterwards, to try new things so he could use the camera again, he doesn’t want to put it down! It’s amazing that Kodak brought one of the things he likes the most – technology, to help him enjoy more of the things I want him to like; such as being active and enjoying the outdoors!

That is cool. Your son would tower over me. I’m only 5 feet tall. That would be crazy for a ten year old to be that much taller than me, but I suppose that’s nothing new in my neck of the woods having the short end of the stick. It sounds like this camera is a great thing for him.
Aww, you guys have such a touching story. Even though my daughter and I have gone through almost the same problems at birth, your story brings little tears in my eyes. I could tell you two are so close and now I know why.
On a different note, I’ve always loved Kodak, it was actually my first camera ever and it holds a sentimental value in my heart.

Sweet! For him that really enjoying the outdoors, an action camera is a must. I am planning of getting one for my kids as they liked it. It adds more excitement and fun to their adventure.

Your kids look like they are having a wonderful time outside. It’s so important for kids to be out and about instead of in front of television screens. If my son was old enough, I would get him one of these.
Great product idea. I have used a GoPro for myself, but this is a great option for the kids!
I think cameras and photography is great for kids. I’ve gotten all my grand kids cameras and they have developed real talent. I’m glad you have such a great relationship and you enjoy each others company.
At that age to be interested in something like that, is great! Keep him moving in that direction.

I think when we go through a difficult time to have a child, we appreciate them all the more. I do believe it’s a blessing in disguise! 🙂
I love that technology got him interested in doing more things. I think kids need to get more active.
I would love to try the PixPro out. I am forever trying to take pictures of my kids playing outdoors & out of about 40 shots, I *might* get 1 decent one. Of course I would love to have my house surrounded in woods too, but that’s a different story.
