Holiday Season is here! For us, it starts with Halloween and it ends with New Year’s eve!
Parties, get-togethers, dinners with family and friends! I just love it all and love welcoming everybody at my home to celebrate it!
One thing that always bothers me is leftover wine. Sometimes we buy a couple different bottles, leave them open for people to try, for them to choose their favorite wine at our parties, but what often happens is that we end up with 3/4 bottles opened and hubby and I are not big wine drinkers, so guess what? They end up being discarded! Such a waste!
This time around, I want to share a new gadget which is saving our Holiday parties starting with Halloween!
We hosted a party last weekend and the Coravin Model Two Wine System saved us from having to throw wine away!
This is how The Coravin works:
Step 1
Unbox it
Step 2
Add the Argon gas tank
Step 3
Simply insert the Coravin needle through the cork
Step 4
Tip the bottle and press the trigger to pressurize with argon, and inert gas used by wine makers
Step 5
When you remove the needle, the cork will reseal to preserve the wine remaining in the bottle for weeks, months, or even years.
Pull the trigger and pour the desired amount and voila! Wine on your own terms and your last glass will taste just as amazing as your very first. Red, white, rosé or maybe a little of each? Whatever you’re craving, you can enjoy all your favorite wines on your terms.

Prepare as much as you can ahead of time

Recruit your family to clean the house before the party, so you can focus on the food and details

Plan your menu ahead and purchase items you can freeze, cook ahead to reduce prep time

Invite friends to a cooking/baking “party” asking them to help you make things the weekend before the party that you can store.

Use paper goods from a party store, which are fancier than the ones you find in the grocery store, so you have no dirty dishes at the end

Having it under control, so that you can also, enjoy your party as much as your guests.
I know I enjoyed my party this weekend! We all had a blast!

I haven’t heard about this wine opener although my husband is a wine drinker. and I think this is the best Christmas gift idea for him and our favorite brand of wine. I am sure that it’s definitely going to beat it with joy.

We actually have a grape juice we like to drink that has a cork. We can never drink the entire bottle and saving it doesn’t turn out well. Love this!
Now THIS is quite handy! I’ve always hated opening a bottle to just top off glasses only for everyone to go home shortly after and the bottle be left open.
The wine opener sounds like a must have for anyone who hosts parties. I also hate all of the wasted wine at the end of the night, so I need to add this to our liquor cabinet stash. And, you are super adorable in your Wonder Woman costume!

This sounds like a great gadget to have on hand if you have wine on occasion but not enough to go through several bottles! I generally end up using leftover bottles for cooking, but it would be nice to not have to plan recipes around them on occasion and save my really good wines for drinking!

These are great tips for hosting a party! I am not much of a wine drinker but when we do buy a bottle it takes us (well hubs) a while to drink it so this may come in handy for us!
That is a really good idea! I am not a huge wine drinker either so something like this would be perfect for me. My brother and sister-in-law love to drink wine but they do take a long time to drink it I think I might get them something like this for Christmas.
