Every Summer I face the challenge to enjoy my favorite season while keeping my skin looking younger, moisturized and fresh, while also protecting it from sun damage!
I start with keeping my skin hydrated! I always have a glass of water, actually a pitcher with lemon or mint in it or a freshly squeezed lemonade!
I eat fruits which are good for keeping it hydrated, such as watermelon, pineapple and plenty of coconut water.
I also take care to change my skin products to reflect the season change:
I love a tinted moisturizer with FPS 30. I’m loving this NARS tinted moisturer from Sephora, perfectly matched to my skin tone! The thinner texture and light glow it gives to my skin is amazing.
But I add an extra layer of protection with my best friend, since 1998, my Shisheido UV Protective Compact Foundation, which adds SPF 36 and a gorgeous but light covering, that perfect final touch to make your skin as soft as a rose.
I also sleep at least 7 hours every night, reduce my alcohol intake to 0-2 glasses per week and very rarely go directly in the sun without my hat, sunglasses and SPF 50 on my face. Also my pool time at home is never before 3pm, when the sun is less likely to harm my skin.
All these steps have helped me keep younger looking skin!
