I have received the Volvo XC- 60 for review from #DriveShop US , but all opinions are my own.
I must confess this is my first Volvo review. It is a brand that I’ve always wanted to test drive, but the opportunity never came around! That’s why I jumped with excitement, when we were contacted about enjoying it for a week!
I also must confess, I was incredibly surprised with the comfort, style and features inside the VOLVO XC-60 2016.
A few details I want to share with you and five reasons why the Volvo is the perfect summer SUV:
- 19 MPG city and 27 Hwy
- Safety warnings
- Panoramic Roof
- Wooden Panels
- 18″ Alloy Wheels
- LED Daytime running lights
- Dual Zone Climate Control
Here is what I really loved:
#1- How non intrusive the lane and “safety” alarm feature is, enough to alert but not annoying like the beeping of other vehicles I’ve reviewed.
#2- The wood panel and leather interior, which makes this Trendy Fashion Blogger super happy, making it one of the most beautiful interiors I’ve ever had the pleasure to drive in.
#3- Love the panel and the speed limit marked in there, not driving my attention off of the road, but yet reminding me of staying under the limit.
#4- The eco feature really impressed me, shutting down the engine at red lights and when traffic came to a stop. Showing fuel economy is also a special feature in this super special SUV!
#5- Love how the mirrors automatically fold and close when I shut the vehicle down and how they move to adjust when I’m backing up.
#6- You know I’m all about shopping, well, the trunk space does not only make this Trendy Shopper happy, but also secures fragile things like eggs and flowers I bought at the grocery store, which normally would be rolling all over the trunk! I’ve lost count of the eggs broken and flowers damaged while I was running errands! So, this is definitely a huge plus for me!
#7- The double sun roof, gives me the extra light and a huge view of the blue sky and sunny sunsets!
#8- Love that the back seat becomes a booster seat
#9- The superior quality of Harman Kardon sound system, which made this Latina driver even happier.
#10- Quiet, shhhhh, yes, it was soooo quiet, only compared to electric cars I’ve reviewed!!!!
Trendy info you should know:
- Price point was $ 52,000 with all the options shown
- Maintenance is offered complimentary for 3 years or 36,000 miles
- Space between seats left my 6’3″ son’s legs hitting the front seat
After all these amazing features, I can definitely share with you that is the perfect summer family SUV!!!

The Volvo does look like the perfect summer suv. I love the dual climate control feature since my husband always likes the ac to be cooler than what I prefer.
This is a very nice SUV. I haven’t ever driven a Volvo either. The sunroof looks so amazing and it would be perfect on a nice day (too hot for it right now). I also like the booster feature.
What a cool car! Both the exterior and interior are amazing. I would love to test drive this car.

That is a very nice vehicle. The inside and outside are all so nice! It’s got a lot of great features too. I really need to get a new car too. I’ll have to check more in to this one.

What a pretty SUV! I love the styling, and I really love all the room. I have a brood at home, so I need all the room I can get.
I have been in a Volvo SUV and yes it is like nothing I have ever driven. It was so quiet and spacious. I am not used to a car that gives me room to wiggle a little. The trunk space is truly spacious.
