You might think, I live in the city, no space, parking is limited and I don’t really need a truck! I’m here to tell you to think twice and to share 5 Reasons Why You Need A Truck.
Toyota provided me with a vehicle loan: the 2025 Toyota Tacoma TrailHunter For Review Purposes, but as usual, all opinions are my own.
5 Reasons Why You Need A Truck

A lot of my city/suburb friends tell me they don’t see a need to own a truck, but I am here to tell you, owning a truck, is a game changer!
Let’s Talk About Some Of Reasons Why:
1) Space

People complain about not having space to park in their garage, city parking and not needing all the space that a truck offers.
Well, I’m here to tell you, that the 2025 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter offers the perfect size for urban drivers and for weekend warriors who need the truck for those DIY projects or gardening lists!
First Trip was for flowers and potting soil:

Second trip for the DIY Gardening Bed

We used the Tacoma to help us to get the materials for a new gardening bed and some plants to make our backyard beautiful!

16 bags of potting soil

Screw Driver & Shovel
The Size of the Tacoma Bed- 5 feet, was just perfect for our backyard projects.
Final Gardening Bed Result:

We could not have finished our gardening projects without the Tacoma!
2) Ready For Adventures

You know hubby and I love hiking and checking out new trails almost every weekend, so having a vehicle that will be a part of our lifestyle is a must!
The Trailhunter Package gives the capability and rugged features to hit the road, no matter where you are!
Off-roading made easy with a Snorkel:
A snorkel on a Tacoma, also called a Desert Air Intake, raises the air intake for the engine, effectively moving it higher up on the vehicle.
This provides several benefits, particularly for off-roading in challenging conditions.

Plus the snorkel was a first for me! I’ve never driven a vehicle with it!
Tires to give you assurance that dirt, gravel or sand will not be an obstacle!
18″ Bronze finished wheels

3) Size

I might agree that some full size trucks are not meant to be city drives! So many difficulties navigating the city, narrow roads, short clearance garages and small parking spots with them!
Another reason why I love the size of the Tacoma Trailhunter – not a full size truck but mid-size at its best!

4) Family Size

No matter what your family size is, the spacious interior will fit your plus one, your pups, your amigos, familia and so much more!

5) Hybrid Life
You get all the fun & it’s a Hybrid!
The Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter gives you 22 MPG City and 24 MPG HWY, not your typical hybrid numbers but remember, it’s a truck and it’s equipped to be rugged!

Some Features We Love:
Power Open/Close Tailgate
A Game Changer for somebody like me, who always had trouble opening the tailgate on a lot of the trucks I’ve driven!
The “Push The Button” Life Is Amazing!

Exterior Features which make the Trailhunter super unique:
Tailhunter Signature Headlamps

Bronze Toyota Heritage Grille
Steel Rear Bumper, Sport Bar, Frame Mounted Rock Rails

Rear Camera
Love being able to see what’s in the Tacoma Bed! Great Feature especially when you have cargo you’re afraid to have falling!

Off-Road Features on the exterior and interior are also perfect for the weekend hikers lifestyle!

Tech & Fun
Wireless Charger that for me is a must, especially when you use your cell navigating trails and need to charge to get back home.

CarPlay & Android Auto Compatible
JBL 10 speaker system with an awesome subwoofer! I might or might not have blasted some of my favorite songs! 🙂

Driving The Tacoma Trailhunter

I can’t wait to hear what you think of the 5 Reasons Why You Need A Truck. As usual, give us a Trendy Shout!
My dad always had a truck growing up, because it just held so much! It becomes a sort of extention to your house.
I always thought trucks were just for people who live out in the country or do heavy-duty stuff, but now I can totally see how practical they are even in the city!
I never thought I’d be nodding to a post about trucks, but here we are! The way you described the space and comfort changed how I see them. I always pictured trucks as work vehicles, but now I’m daydreaming about road trips and hauling all my flea market finds in style. Thanks for the fun and fresh perspective!
I never really considered a truck for city life, but the Tacoma sounds like the perfect balance of size and utility. Love the hybrid feature too!
Trucks aren’t really as popular here in the UK, but my husband does have a van which helps us for the space reasons you highlighted. Such a lovely truck you’ve been sharing x
I love this truck, and it would be perfect for my size family. We are in the market for a new truck, and we may need to check out the Toyota Tacoma TrailHunter . It has a lot of great features I like.
oh wow! I am seriously considering buying a truck, I currently drive an SUV…The Tacoma is gorgeous wow….I can’t wait to test drive it.
I honestly could do with one, but impractical for me at the moment. Saying that it would make my life so much easier than trying to fit things into my car
Nice! I live in a Chicago suburb near the forest preserve, so this is the perfect size to haul what I need and still fit into a parking space when I go downtown.
That’s the perfect truck for light country living. That’s exactly the lifestyle we lead, so I’m showing this to my husband.
I am sold!!! My husband has a truck, a different make/model, and we love it for all the reasons you mentioned above. I do love how pretty this Toyota is…I mean sporty. HA!
