So You are looking at your pale legs like me, thinking, they are so not ready for Summer season, right? That was me in January, when I looked at my legs and created a summer legs challenge to work on areas that were not flattering, which prevented me from rocking killer legs in the summer!
How to have great legs this summer!
I’ve started by addressing problem areas, I know, it’s always about starting with things that bother you! In my case, they were cellulite, visible veins, stretch marks, shape, marks.
Instead of just being upset about the final outcome, I looked at the things that I would change that could possibly give me the killer legs I wanted, without going to a SPA nor paying for premium treatments!
Let’s look at the problems together:
I’ve found out that you can diminish the upholstered cushion look with a cream or gel containing caffeine, which enhances blood flow.
But my most powerful weapons were: I decreased the consumption of fattening, processed food items and raised my workout game, which I will share in detail later!
You can camouflage them with a self tanner or body bronzer. I also noticed that my light skin after the winter wasn’t flattering to the visible veins, so I’ve added outdoor walks and dog strolls to my workout routine to give my legs that natural sun glowing look!
Make sure you don’t expose your skin without a good moisturizer with SPF and avoid being out between 12-3.
An OTC retinol can improve it and most effective when they are new marks. You can also conceal them with a self-tanner.
Mine are inside my legs and not visible and even though they are not new, I’ve noticed a visible change just by using the retinol!
It’s still a work in progress but you can use in home equipment to get the same results!
Marks and Blemishes
You know I have seasonal allergies. I also have allergies to some creams and razor blades, I know, isn’t that crazy? Sadly, many people actually suffer allergies after shaving, resulting even in ingrown hairs. This may be the reason why some women choose laser hair removal. As long as you get it done once, you can stop doing the leg shaving ritual every week (or more often, in some cases). And while I love the idea of it, I don’t know why, but I prefer shaving my legs for now. And yes, I’m very particular about choosing the right razor for the job! Well, brands such as Schick Hydro Silk are something I use so that I can get great legs without having those red bumps and blemishes popping up, and Shoprite is my local store to get it! They have so many different options!
