Spring is just around the corner and the warm weather always inspires me to do things we love as a family and try new things as well. Today I’m sharing 7 Things To Do This Spring In New Jersey and inspiration for you to look for similar activities in your area as well.
7 Things To Do This Spring In New Jersey
Visit A Tulip Farm
We have a beautiful local Tulip Farm: Dalton Farms in South Jersey.
Hubby and I visited it last Spring and it was like being in another world!
I recommend going during the week or early on weekends! Also watch for the price you’re paying for tulips you pick. I thought it was a bit on the expensive side.
You can check out more info and buy tickets HERE.
You can also check out more details on our Tulip Farm Drive, our gorgeous Lexus LC 500 and the Visit HERE.
Explore Local Trails
Since we boosted our hiking, getting to 54 hikes last year, the Spring is the time of the year for us to map out new trails to explore!
We usually stay in the Jersey area, but my goal is to explore North Jersey more and make it a staycation!
If you’re in Jersey, you can check out my group HERE, hope you decide to join us!
If you’re new to hiking, I recommend flat trails to start, you can check out more tips here.
Enjoy Time Outdoors
Why not welcome the new season with open arms? Enjoying time outdoors!
Here are some of my favorite ways to enjoy Spring Time Outdoors:
Gardening
You know the tornado turned my house upside down, so we’re looking forward to getting the siding and windows fixed to do some DIY landscaping projects. Maybe we’ll look at giving the patio a bit of a refresh with some different tiling styles? There is a link to websites such as standardtilenj.com that we can check out to get as much information as we can for this. So that’s an option we can put on our landscaping list.
If you have been thinking about adding in a stone feature or a stone pathway as well as changing up your patio, you may want to look into your local Stone Supplier to see how they can help you with picking out the best designs for your area. Keep in mind that you will need to have the space cleared first, especially if you have some foliage blocking the path, you can check in with some tree/bush removal services to see how they can help you out with this to give you a clean-cut look to your garden.
Here are some previous gardening I did in my backyard:
I love herbs, small veggies and a garden that is easy to maintain due to my busy lifestyle! Maybe I can add in some flowering plants like Dahlia and Chrysanthemum Plants too!
Kayaking
We own two kayaks , so exploring new lakes and visiting our favorites is a must every Spring.
Hubby goes fishing and I just listen to my favorite books and music while I paddle!
Nothing more beautiful than enjoying water time in the Spring while not having to worry how cold the water is!
Heading To A Farmers Market For Fresh Produce
We have so many local farmers markets and stands, so, access to fresh Jersey produce in South Jersey is not a problem at all!
It’s one of my favorite times of year to search fresh ingredients and come up with new recipes!
Take a Walk in Your Neighborhood or Local Park
Why not take the kids out for some fun in the sun?
So many parks in NJ! Lots to choose!
Try new restaurants/bakeries/bars
It’s always great to support small businesses! So why not do it this Spring?
Outdoor seating, sun and beautiful weather goes with an awesome meal at a new place!
I’m planning on checking out a new Brazilian Bakery in Philly called Kouklet, plus going to a few other new places where food is healthy and fresh!
Nothing better than farm to table, right?
