Growing up in Brazil, I did not have a chance to enjoy Dickens’ A Christmas Carol until I moved here!
Dickens’ A Christmas Carol is my absolute favorite Christmas book! The Walnut Street Theater rendition of the story is not only beautiful, but very entertaining for adults and children!
Dickens’ A Christmas Carol At The Walnut Street Theater
Here are some of the things I loved about it:
I woke up early and went to Philly on a rainy day, just bursting with excitement!
Did you know that The Walnut Street Theater is the oldest theater in the USA? Yes, 210 years old!
I am going to be honest, I have never been there! It was my first time and it will not be the last! I can’t wait to be back and watch Matilda!
It was amazing to step inside and walk through history, my experience started even before the play began!
The theater was packed. Children laughing with anticipation, the play was about to start!
I was surprised to have walked right in! No lines, first time ever, at a theater and no lines.
On one remarkable Christmas Eve, Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by three ghosts who show him past, present—and possible future. You and your favorite kids are in for a treat with a special hour-long musical adaptation for kids that uses traditional songs to highlight Dickens’ magical story.
Deck the halls as the holiday spirits travel beyond the footlights, right into your very own heart.
A lively cast, beautiful wardrobe and family friendly music takes us back to the timeless Dickens’ Tale!
Parking was less than $30.00 and there were 4 options available in the area.
You can find out more about it HERE and buy tickets for Dickens’ A Christmas Carol HERE.
Dickens’ A Christmas Carol will be at the Walnut Street Theater until Dec 23rd!
Hope you come and take your family to see it!
I wanted to thank the theater for inviting us! Great start to our holiday season!

This is one of my all time favorites, too! We took our son to a children’s version in the West Village whenever he was about 5 and it was such a great experience and really got us into the Christmas spirit!
