My cat, Misty is a special friend and has a very dear place in my heart! So, I’m always looking for the best products and variety for her! Whether it’s looking for the best cat carrier backpack to transport her with, toys that will keep her happy while we’re not home or food that will ensure she keeps healthy for as long as possible, it doesn’t matter — as long as they’re the best. The convenience of shopping for all of my cat’s needs at my favorite local Giant Food location, makes a huge difference!
It’s not always easy to find everything in one place, but Giant Food has an extensive pet care aisle filled with everything from cat litter and kitty treats to my favorite Purina wet and dry food brands.
You know my pets are family, they are treated the same way we take care of ourselves. All year round, I make sure she’s protected from fleas and ticks (my friend told me that you can even find eco-friendly collars here that have a natural, organic flea solution) and that she gets all the love in the world. That being said, there’s never been a better “excuse” to pamper your cat, especially with the holiday season approaching!
I want to share with you, how easy it is to fill my shopping cart with everything my family needs to keep my cat happy this fall, and how stocking up on all of my cat’s needs truly shows how much we love her! I love cats and I’m actually thinking about getting another. I’ve heard that introducing cats can be quite easy if you do it right and I’d love another furry friend in the house. I think Misty would love a friend too!
I went shopping this past weekend for Thanksgiving items and Christmas as well, can you imagine that? I had a great idea! My kitty doesn’t have a blanket, so I picked up some fabric and will teach you how to make a super easy no sew blanket, which is just the perfect gift for her and my friend’s pets this holiday season!
No Sew Holiday Blanket
Materials
2 yards of fleece fabric
scissors
1 4×4 inch square
Step One
Layout your fleece on top of each other. Smooth out wrinkles and match up edges as best you can. Don’t pull too much as fleece has a bit of stretch to it.
Step 2
Trim edges.
Step 3
Cut the the fabric in half, depending on the size of your cat
Step 4
Using your template, place on corner and cut out (cut both pieces of fabric – upper and lower). Do this on all four corners.
Step 5
Start cutting a 1 wide, 4 inch long strip all along the edges.
Somebody came to help!!
Step 6
After you cut the four inch strips, fold them up.
Step 7
Carefully make a small slit on the fold (slit goes through both strips). This is your hole for ‘tying’, so the smaller the better.
Step 8
Take the turned up strips & pull them both down inside, through the slit.
Step 9
Tug gently to make it taut.
With the holidays coming up, this will make a great gift for your pet or a friend’s!
