God sent Jesus to live and die for us and fulfill the scripture which prophesied his coming.
The movie gives us a close glimpse of Jesus’ life with the apostles, leading to his agonizing last moments and the resurrection.
I love the human components added to what they could possibly be feeling and actions not described in the bible but extremely believable if you know the scripture and several accounts of those events.
The Last Supper is brought to us from the Executive Producer: Chris Tomlin which makes this production even more special!

I had the opportunity to watch the advance screening of this film, too. Growing up, our family would always watch Biblical films especially during Holy Week.

The fact that the movie fills in the emotions and actions not in the Bible but that align with the scriptures is so cool. Chris Tomlin was the Executive Producer? That adds another layer of wow to the whole thing. I’m sure his involvement had a lot to do with the storytelling and music.

You know what I love the most about this movie? Jesus and his disciples aren’t all white guys. That may sound silly, but he was most definitely not white, and I find it so much more credible when he is portrayed as he was.
