Backyard Summer Checklist

Every year, I look forward to opening my deck, inviting friends over and enjoying another summer season outdoors! Every year I go through my check list, to make sure to repair, add and renew my outdoor space. I really wanted to remodel and do some landscaping on my garden, but I never got around to doing it this year. I hope I can do it sometime in the future. A friend of mine suggested I use a local landscaping service, similar to Prestige Lawns (prestige-lawns.co.uk), but that will have to be for a future project. For now, I’m happy with updating my outdoor living space during the summer, and today, I’m going to share my Backyard Summer Checklist.

Repair

I always look at the furniture, my pots where herbs and tomatoes will be growing and the rugs and umbrellas first, to make sure the essentials are in good condition! Then, I ensure that I look over my decking, just in case it needs a visit from the local deck repair service.

Also I make sure we bought gas for the fireplace and grill, because nobody wants to run out of gas in the middle of the party, right?

Add To Your Space

Then I try to add plants, herbs and this year, we’ll need new torches as well. I was also looking at adding some extra storage space in my backyard and have been looking at pre-built sheds, but I might put off getting one until next year.

Renew

I like buying new plants every year to bring a pop of color. I also buy new umbrellas and new decor items like candles and plastic plates!

This year I also want to add two new things:

Lighting to allow me to read outside at night and a new TV!
