Between masks, overtime indoors with that heater beating up on your skin and the cold effects, I know your skin needs some TLC, so today, I will be sharing some tips for you to have Beautiful Skin This Winter.
Beautiful Skin This Winter
Taking care of my skin has always been a priority for me.
Aging is a privilege but also a curse when it comes to your skin.
For me, it’s about the every day care, the small steps to make sure your skin continues to glow, no matter how old you are! Some people even tend to go for regular HydraFacial in Toledo or elsewhere to revitalize the skin and make it look fresh.
Inside Out
Beautiful skin starts with what you do, what you eat and what you drink, so here are some tips:
Get Some Sunlight
I know you don’t want to leave the house. I know that since you have had the heating installation done in your home, you are reluctant to leave the warmth and coziness. But your skin could starve if you devoid it of any sunlight all season. Sunlight is hard to come by in winter, but daylight will do just as well. The light of day helps to regulate hormones, keeping your skin clear of blemishes. You won’t get much vitamin D from going outside at this time of year though, so supplement your skin with intense light therapy – Luxe Luminous has more information if you’re interested.
Drink More Water
I’ve been doing keto and my program requires me to almost drink my weight in water, so I’ve been between 90 and 100 oz of water daily!
All it takes is to keep a water bottle nearby and at night when I sit to watch tv!
I even got a second water dispenser in my office, so I don’t have an excuse!
You are what you eat
I’ve also started Keto recently, you can read more about it HERE.
A low carb lifestyle that is working for me and I can finally see results while eating healthy!
I’ve also noticed my skin is clearer and has a natural glow without any changes in my regimen, so I know the dynamics of keto have affected my skin in a very positive way.
I make sure veggies are a daily add to my menu and twice a week, I also add berries to my lunch!
I can’t eat most fruits with keto, so berries are my best friends these days!
Daily Skin Care
I wake up and use a moisturizer and lip balm. Here are some of the product I use:
I wash my face EVERY NIGHT , product stays in my shower, so I have no excuses and Apply an eye serum/cream and product on my face.
I leave them on my night stand so I won’t forget.
Vitamins
I’m not a doctor and you should always consult with one, before taking any vitamins, but I wanted to share that taking and multivitamin supplement daily is the way to go!
I changed from gummies, which have carbs to regular vitamins.
You can read more about other surprising things that have carbs HERE.
Collagen
I make sure I’m taking an extra boost of collagen to give my skin what has been lost and delay the inevitable, the gravity, LOL, without having to resort to invasive treatments! Although I will say after seeing results from things like a thread lift before and after I am tempted to get some treatment in the future to boost my collagen production but for now I will stick to my own methods.
So I use a Keto Protein powder in my coffee or as a meal replacement. Easy and delicious and it has collagen as a bonus!
I have both chocolate and vanilla at home!
It is not a lot of work and I have incorporated into my daily routine, so I naturally do it and it’s totally worth it!
If you too, want to be fifty with no wrinkles, don’t leave it up genetics, start taking care of your skin now!
