Since I have started my Weight Loss Journey this year, looking for new recipes, new drinks have been a big part of my plan to lose and maintain my results! I have gathered a substantial amount of smoothies, juices and combinations with fresh fruits, almond milk, coconut juice and honey, some of my favorite ingredients, so I started also looking for alternatives to my wine glass or happy hour cocktail, since, specially in the summer, I truly enjoy sitting on my deck on a late afternoon with a drink or cocktail to add the perfect ending to my day, but the calories on some alcoholic beverages are prohibitive to my goals and add a burden to my daily calorie count.
I’m extremely excited to share that I have found recipes created exclusively for SlimFast by DR Mixologist, Darryl Robinson, host of “Drink up” on The Cooking Channel. SlimFast shakes are the perfect base for deliciously creamy summer cocktails/mocktails1 and Darryl’s new recipes contain just 130-190 calories per serving!
I have decided to share the Berry Sexy Vanila Sunrise – Mocktail, which has one of my favorite spices, ginger, widely known for it’s immune-boosting and stomach-settling abilities. It has been shown to be effective in treating nausea, relieving gas and speeding up digestion.
Ingredients:
- 3 oz. Slimfast French Vanilla Shake
- 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
- 1-2 pieces of fresh ginger – to taste
- 1 1/2 tsp. agave syrup pr 1 1/2 tsp. honey
- 1 ice cube; add more as needed for smooth consistency
- Additional berries for garnish
Instructions:
