You know we’re a busy family. Between my son’s sport’s schedule and our work, we have little time left but we make sure, no matter what, we have a healthy meal on the table. So, today I’m sharing my best cooking tips for easy healthy meals.
Cooking Tips For Fast Easy Healthy Meals
My most important tip is planning and trying new recipes as often as possible. My son is a super picky eater, so I’m always trying new recipes to get his seal of approval.
I’m always picking up on a low sodium/fat pre-made meal for those days when you’ll come home at 7PM and starving to avoid stocking up calories and fat at the drive thru!
The 70/30 rule
I make sure 70% of my food purchases are vegetables, fruits and avoiding at all cost canned, processed foods.
I shop sometimes at two different places, more than once a week to make sure our produce is fresh and looking amazing on our table.
Our produce is usually what’s in season. For example, here is a list that is always on my counter when looking for vegetables and fruits in season in the fall:

It’s important to have a good stove, countertop ovens (visit Simully for an idea about the best ones in the market), and/or a microwave!.
Fast usually means, having the right cooking device to help you reach your healthy goals without having to wait two hours get your meal ready.
