I was so excited to find out that the Book Of Life, a vibrant animated fantasy-adventure, tells the legend of Manolo, a conflicted hero and dreamer who sets off on an epic quest through magical, mythical and wondrous worlds in order to reunite with his one true love and defend his village, which is out on DVD and Blu-ray!
When October comes, I always try to get inspired and do something different, because Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos are some of my favorite fiestas and celebrations!
Even though I love Dia de Los Muertos cooking and rich historical significance, I’ve never done a face painting to celebrate this important latin holiday! So I’ve decided to create a Dia de Los Muertos Make Up Tutorial for beginners, after I searched endlessly and could not find one to get inspired!
Follow me and create an easy 15 minute make up to help you celebrate Dia De Los Muertos in style!
Well, let’s go back to where I told you, this one is my first attempt to do it, having this tutorial as inspiration:
I bought Ben Nye products, which have better quality than craft store products and you can see them below:
Clown White

This movie is on my must-see list as soon as my niece is old enough to enjoy it, but I must say that your tutorial – you did a great job! I’ve never been great with facepainting (despite a couple of years as a stint as a clown). That looks pretty intricate, and you look beautiful. I feel inspired enough I may try it!

Here in Canada we don’t celebrate the Day of the dead.
It wasn’t until a few years ago when I was down in California that I had even seen a sugar skull or anyone wearing the make up.
Looks super pretty though!

My family saw this movie as well. It was not advertised that well, we found it on cable. Love the makeup tutorial.

That would be a fun one for Halloween. I always like the way it looks because it’s so detailed. I’m pretty sure though my son will not wear it LOL.
