We have received the Cadillac XT6 as a press loan, but this is not a sponsored post and, as usual, all opinions are my own.
As you know, I’ve shared that I don’t feel comfortable to hop on a plane for now. States restrictions and the fear of the unknown have really limited us to local road trips. Today I will tell you Why Driving Is The Safest Way To Travel This Summer.
Driving Is The Safest Way To Travel This Summer
Safety
After talking with my friends, the majority of them said they feel safer and more comfortable to travel by car.
They also said that they can control their transportation, as far as cleaning, disinfecting, and who is traveling with them, so that gives them peace of mind! In fact, some people who have taken that chance to go abroad during this time, will opt for a driving company to take them all around their vacation location, so they feel safe and cared for, whether that be through comfort drive dubai services, or private hires. Just goes to show how driving can be one of the best options, no matter where you are in the world.
Let’s Go Camping
As you saw on my last post, camping is the safest way to travel in my opinion.
You can read more about it HERE.
For me, it goes back to the same principle that you control how clean the place will be and who is in your cabin, tent or RV.
You can check out some of my RV camping experiences HERE.
What You Should Know Before You Go
Knowing all about your vehicle before you go, will ensure you have a safer and better experience.
I recommend you check your towing capacity and make sure the cargo space will meet your camping needs.
You don’t want to be hooking up a tent or trailer and see your car damaged because it wasn’t meant to tow all that weight, right?
So You should check:
- Towing Capacity
- Cargo Space
- Ability to take items on your rack, buying a storage unit like this one below:
Check Your Vehicle
It’s important to check your vehicle before you hit the road as well!
You should check:
- Tires
- Oil
- Make sure maintenance is up to date
Checking those items will give you peace of mind!
In case you are in the market for an awesome new ride for your road trips, we recently took the Cadillac XT6 on a camping trip and I will share all about it!
Here Are A Few Reasons Why It Was The Perfect Ride
Technology
I loved the 8″ diagonal color display, compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Also loved the voice recognition and the wireless device charging.
We also loved the Bose Performance Series Audio System – 14 speakers and premium quality!
Interior
The leather and interior finishes gave the vehicle that premium comfort that makes any road trip a comfortable one!
I loved the leather wrapped steering wheel!
Auto Seat Belt Tightening
One thing we really loved was the auto seat belt tightening!
My very tall son loved that it was the first time he sat in a vehicle and the seat belt didn’t “choke” him! He kept talking about this feature!
Space
The interior space gave all of us a more comfortable ride, along with the third row folded down to fit more of our camping gear!
It fits 7 passengers! Great for a big family and/or if you have a lot to carry, right?
Love the ability to control my seat temperature in the second row of seating.
The power folding third row took the guess work out of making room for our road trip luggage!
It sure did fit a lot, right?
Sunroof
Check out this ultra view sunroof!
It makes any road trip more enjoyable! I just kept looking above and enjoying the sunshine, looking forward to our vacation!
Exterior
The 20″ wheels are an awesome bonus!
They made the ride smoother and so much more enjoyable!
We kept saying, this is how a comfortable SUV should feel!
The automatic foot cargo access
We loved that it “guided” us to open the trunk in the campground in the dark!
The Design
The Grill and bold front make a statement in itself
Safety
The rear camera mirror with washer, automatic parking assist with breaking, rear pedestrian alert, heads-up display and night vision make the Cadillac XT6 one of the safest vehicles we have driven.
Because your safety is one of the most important things when you plan a road trip, right?
At the end, the 2020 Cadillac XT6 not only proved to be a super comfortable and trendy ride, but it also met our needs as far as space and safety, making our camping trip, one that we will never forget!
You can check more about the Cadillac Xt6 AWD HERE.
If you have a vehicle like the Cadillac, on your next road trip, all you have to worry about is firing up the grill and making S’mores!
Or Spending time at a local lake, like we did!
Can’t wait to hear what you think!
As usual, give us a Trendy Shout!

This looks like a nice and comfortable ride for family trips. Very spacious and the added storage on top is a bonus. We’re traveling this weekend (staying in FL), but definitely doing a road trip out of it.

That is one sweet ride! We’ve already decided that if we go anywhere this year, we’ll be road-tripping. I don’t want to be trapped in a plane.
