I wanted to make an easy lunch my family would love that didn’t involve frying! I came up with this easy empanada recipe that will leave your family asking for more!
Easy Empanada Recipe
Goya Empanada Shells
10 Oz of cheese
Dried Mexican Oregano or Italian Herbs
Remove Plastic from shells
Fill shell with cheese, leaving the borders empty
Top with Dry Oregano
Use a bit of cold water on your finger to make sure borders will close, slide your finger across the inside of one border, close it with your fingers or use the empanada tools, which make the process soooo easy!
Folded or Stamped Empanadas
Tip: I add 1 egg yolk to the top to give it that golden color!
Bake at 350F for 20 mins or until golden brown.
