This is a Keto crockpot recipe you’ll love!
Steps
Gather all the ingredients to make it easy to prep and get the crockpot ready to roll, once the ground beef is cooked.
Lightly sauté onions and add ground beef , breaking it down but don’t let it cook for long, just cook until lightly brown.
Drain mixture if you want to cut the fat/calories, I normally buy lean ground beef, so I skip this step, because the liquid gives extra flavor to the chili.
Don’t let the mixture get dry, just cook it to a light brown color, leaving the beef medium rare.
Add all the other seasonings, tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and beef bone broth.
Add seasonings and stir gently.
Cook for 4 hours in the crockpot in low or 2 hours in high. I prefer slow cooking, 4 hours, let the seasonings simmer!
Soooo good!
My favorite pairing is the Keto Corn Bread, I make them as muffins so I can control the portion and….not eat too much of it, because it is soooo good!
It’s amazing how soft the corn bread is! They melt in your mouth, so make sure to plan to get them out of the oven when the chili is ready!
Just a reminder there’s no corn in this Keto friendly corn bread version!

This easy recipe is a favorite at my house and I know it will become at yours, even if you don't follow the keto lifestyle!
- 1 1/2 Pound Ground Beef I prefer lean, but it's up to you
- 1 Cup Diced Onion
- 1 Small Can Crushed Tomatoes
- 1 Tbsp Tomato Paste
- 1 Tbsp Rao Tomato Sauce Optional
- 1 Tbsp Cumin
- 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder
- Salt & Pepper To Taste
- 1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper Use more if you like the heat.
- 1 Tsp Cillantro Leaves
- 1 Tsp Dried coriander
- 1 Tbsp Sweet Paprika
- 1 Tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1 Cup Beef Bone Broth Enough to Cover the Ground Beef/Ingredients
- 1 Tsp Sour Cream
- 1 Tsp Shredded Cheese of Choice
- 1 Tbsp Green Onion
- 1 1/2 Tsp MCT or Avocado Oil
-
Pre-heat the skillet for 5 mins and add oil
-
Cook onions until they soft and tender
-
Add ground Beef and lightly sauté it
-
Add Mixture to the crockpot, I sometimes drain a bit, depending on how much fat is in the skillet.
-
Add all the other seasonings, tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce and beef broth.
-
Cook for 4 hours on low or 2 hours on high, until the sauce takes the spices and it's creamy and darker. The beef is cooked, so you can't go wrong with it!
-
Add 1 tsp of sour cream, cheese and green onion to garnish.
-
Enjoy!
Serving Size: 1 1/2 cup/ 1 bowl – 9 net Carbs
I use Garlic Himalayan Salt, but regular salt is fine.
You can reduce the calories by not adding sour cream, cheese and buy 95% lean ground beef and drain the mixture before adding it to the crockpot. Since Keto allows fat, if it fits in your daily macros, they are totally worth it!
