Youโve followed my journey and how I lost 44 pounds in 12 months and Iโm now working on maintaining it.

I personally donโt like to diet because I believe it restricts our choices to fit in a box and when we get out of that box, we usually go back to where we were before.

You should also know my family has a history of obesity and diseases associated with it.
The picture above was taken in 2016. So, for me, as for some of you, genetics play a huge role on how you approach health and weight loss.
My dad unfortunately passed this past August due to stomach/intestine issues and other complications. So, more than ever, I want to focus on being healthy, when I think about optimal weight goals.
I also have several relatives dealing with obesity and its complications.
Freedom
For me, losing weight is not just about looking my best, it is not a vanity issue, it is a health matter.
I am aiming to feel good, eat right, exercise and have support while doing it, so that it will be sustainable for the long-term.
I want to feel my best, but also ensure a healthier me for years to come!
