Austin is one of my favorite cities in the US! This time hubby & I had a chance to discover new parts of the city while Experiencing Austin With The 2024 Lexus TX.
I was invited by Lexus to experience the all new 2024 Lexus TX, but as usual, all opinions are my own.
Experiencing Austin With The 2024 Lexus TX
The music city offers so many great places for adventure seekers, trend setters and outdoor lovers for sure, so we took the third row SUV Lexus TX to explore the city, enjoying some of our favorite trendy activities.
Let’s Experience Austin
Navigating & Parking in downtown Austin, which is usually a problem, was super easy with the great drive the Lexus TX offered. Honestly, it didn’t feel like I was driving a large vehicle, which is a frequent complaint for city drivers – women, moms and myself included.
We started by hitting two of the most instagramable spots in Austin:
Greetings From Austin Mural
Greetings From Austin Mural is located at 1720 S 1st St, a side street Congress
Located on the side of the Roadhouse Relics gallery, this giant vintage postcard is one of Austin’s oldest and most visited murals.
Inside each letter is an attraction such as a bridge. Below the name is the outline of the Texas State Capitol building.
The mural also says “greetings from” then the word “Austin” and ends with “Capitol of Texas”.
Next we went to check out the Austin Souvenir Shop – Prima Dora and hit the second super popular spot:
Love From Austin Mural
Here’s a tip, if you’re looking for this cool Instagrammable spot in Austin, take the alley (one way) behind the Austin Souvenir Shop Prima Dora and park behind the Mural.
The Lexus TX ‘s great maneuverability helped us move into that alley and easily park, so I could hit that awesome spot in Austin!
Love from Austin Mural is located at 1912 S. Congress Ave.
Women Vote Mural
This super cool mural in Austin has no parking available by the mural, so a drive by was the answer!
Austin’s largest mural to date, featuring a depiction of Wonder Woman, was created by artists Shepard Fairey and Shandra Chevrier to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which granted women the right to vote.
The Women Vote Mural is located just a few blocks from our hotel, The Four Seasons Austin Hotel, downtown.
My tip is: use that traffic light right before the mural, for the best view! Another great way to enjoy that spot is by water. We were able to have an unobstructed view of it, while kayaking in the Lady Bird Lake.
The Women Vote Mural is located at 111 E. Cesar Chavez St..
Austin 360 Bridge
Since exploring bridges is a super popular activity in Austin, we took the Lexus TX to explore the 360 Bridge.
The Lexus TX didn’t disappoint. The power, when we had to hit the 70 MPH highway speed spots and safety features were great companions on our adventure to check the bridge out!
We left downtown and hit the highway, parking just off the 360 Loop, underneath the bridge. We didn’t have time to park and hike for a top of the mountain view.
There is ample parking there, but if you decide to check the water out, there’s a fee for parking. If you have the time to do it, I highly recommend it!
When you have an SUV which gives you 21 MPG city, 27 MPG highway and 23 MPG combined and brings comfort to the next level, at a great price point (starts at approx. $53k), the highway and road trips are a must!
If you love to hike as we do, there is a short 10 minute hike through a rocky climb, but totally worth it, I saw some shots from this super famous instagrammable spot in Austin and they were breathtaking!
Fitting The Family
I just wished I had my whole family and some friends! Yes, this third row SUV offers a comfortable ride, no matter where you sit in it.
The TX was designed to offer a comfortable ride in all the seats. There is more leg room in the third row. Hubby is 6’2” and he fit there without feeling cramped or hitting his head!
The USB ports and climate controls also give your familia the perfect excuse to hop in. When it’s time to exit they can use the safe exit assist located near the side of each door.
“Happy Comfortable Roadtrip” feature comes standard and don’t forget the removable cups!
Love the extra storage in the center/underneath console. There is a removable center console on the second row seats. There’s also a removable chicken nuggets and gadget tray.
All the leg room and the 22” Cubicle (7 carry-on suitcases fit) space behind the third row with seats up – no compromise on space, that’s for sure. All this being packed in a vehicle that isn’t super large on the exterior yet is spacious in the interior.
The best of both words for moms like me, to take your girlfriends on that weekend trip or simply gathering your large family (seats 7) to your next adventure!
You know about Latinos and space, right? Call the familia and head out!
Remeber, the third row fit my husband who is 6’2″! Plenty of space, just saying!
Hiking in Austin
We would leave the capital of hiking, as I call it, without hitting at least one trail, right?
If you follow our adventures in my group Hiking In New Jersey, you know, roadtrip with a 4×4 SUV means taking it to explore a trail!
Hubby and I joined a group hike organized by Lexus. We did something for the first time at a trail though, we slowed the pace down and went forest bathing.(shinrin-yoku).
Our first time doing it and we loved it!
It’s so perfect how Austin offers, music, entertainment, bubbly lifestyle, but it also gives you some amazing trails to be explored just a few miles outside the city!
We enjoyed the hike at The Turkey Creek Trail , a very popular place for hikers!
I loved the change of scenery from Jersey trails and the rocky terrain, along with new tree species and bird callings I had never heard before.
The meditation while there brought me to focus on the time there and how we’re connected to the environment around us. We closed our eyes and became one with the trees, rocks and nature surrounding us, which were and will be there after we are long gone!
The Turkey Creek Trail is located in the Emma Long Metropolitan Park.
Lunch outdoors was another peaceful time, just 5 minutes from the trail.
The dirt path, easily navigated with the Lexus TX, was beautifully nestled around trees and the lake views make the spot another place I recommend you check on your next trip to Austin.
On our way back we asked the Lexus TX: “Lexus, navigate home” and turned the music up to enjoy some country songs with the 12 speaker Mark Levinson sound system.
You know this Latina loves loud music and quiet cabin space, where the highway noises fade, giving us the perfect soundtrack as we took the highway to head back to our hotel.
It was hard to leave the driver’s seat, as you can imagine, in the Lexus TX!
Kayaking in Austin
Back at the 4 Seasons Hotel in Austin, we walked to the trail located in the back of the hotel and embarked on one last adventure: a Lady Bird Lake Kayak adventure with the Austin Rowing Club.
You know hubby and I own kayaks and are in the water often during the warm months, but the lake which is surrounded by an awesome trail, really surprised us in size and width!
Another instagrammable spot is to experience the town colors, lights and reflection from the water, paddling our way under the downtown bridges.
The Pedestrian Bridge
We didn’t have the time to walk the Pedestrian Bridge in Austin, but we had a chance to see it!
Truly an unforgettable experience! We paddled for almost 2 hours and didn’t even see half of the lake!
Here are some of my favorite views of our kayaking trip:
Breathtaking, right?
If you come to town and time is an issue, I highly recommend you take this route as a great way to experience the city with different eyes!
The kayaks rental costs just $20.00 per hour and the guests of the Four Seasons Hotel receive a complimentary extra hour, after paying for the time you had originally paid for!
Remember to bring a drivers license and water friendly clothes, since a bit of water gets in the kayak.
An unforgettable experience … so glad we did it!
I hope you’ve enjoyed navigating Austin with us on board the 2024 Lexus TX !
I can’t wait to hear what you think of our trip Experiencing Austin With The 2024 Lexus TX.

Hhhhmmm….it looks so good. Is it me or did they make this version smaller than the one they released in 2022 and 2023?

My husband and I visited Austin years ago on our first trip without the kids after our second son was born. We did some of the trails, too, and it was so pretty. The only time we’ve been back is when we make the 3 hour drive over to take the kids to Kalahari just outside Austin. Now that the kids are older, I think they would enjoy exploring the city, too.
Jenny
We had a Lexus a few years ago and it was so reliable and comfortable. Looks like you had a great time trying this out.

It’s fantastic to hear that the Lexus TX made navigating and parking in downtown Austin a breeze. City driving can be quite challenging, but a vehicle that handles well in tight spaces is a game-changer. Your experience echoes the sentiment of many urban drivers, emphasizing the importance of ease and comfort. Exploring Austin’s Instagram-worthy spots, like the “Greetings From Austin Mural,” must have been a real treat with such a user-friendly ride. Thanks for sharing your positive experience!
