I have received the Mazda CX5 for review purposes, but all opinions are my own.
We have been to Cedar Point in Ohio for the past three years, attending Bloggy Con! We truly enjoy the trip, the hotel and the park. The area offers such a wide variety of amazing areas to explore!
While driving to Ohio for the conference, the multiple USB ports in the back of the CX5 allowed me to work on some projects, when I was not driving! The ports were definitely a special treat!
Seeing the Ohio border sign though, always excites us because it’s one of our favorite vacations; one that we look forward to all year!
We had a chance to drive around town in Sandusky (the town nearby) on board the Mazda CX5 and I wanted to share some of our favorite spots!
Always a favorite is entering the Peninsula of Cedar Point, we can smell the Lake Erie air, open the windows and enjoy the gorgeous view! Even more special this time with the large windows and sun roof of the Mazda CX5!
Next Stop, parking and checking in at the Breakers Hotel! A lake front property with the charm that Ohio has in abundance!
First night, let’s explore the park! The many roller coasters, food vendors and Halloween attractions make Cedar Point, a favorite destination for my teen son!
Another favorite thing to do is driving around, exploring new towns nearby, gorgeous sites and homemade food!
We took the Mazda to explore The MarbleHead Lighthouse! One of the local attractions! I just love visiting light houses, one of my favorite things to do when we travel!
Very interesting reading for the first time about Ohio’s history and stepping into the past of such a gorgeous location!
We also had dinner at local restaurant on our way back; such a fresh meal, but the dessert was definitely a highlight! The best cream pie with nuts I’ve ever had! The portion was so generous, hubby and I shared it!
It’s always hard to say good bye! Every year, we get to enjoy different aspects of Lake Erie and the Cedar Point area! So much to do, so little time! The Mazda CX5 definitely gave that extra comfort and safety this time, making our trip even more special!

What a fun trip! I want to go to Cedarpoint. My husband went as a child and has very fond memories. I love that you got to do it with Mazda!

The ports definitely sound like they would be great for working on the drive. I love the sound of everything with this car.
I have been through and to Ohio many times, as a PA gal. You shared some lovely images and I would totally explore those areas, too. That Mazda is mighty sharp!
I have never been to Ohio. I think it could make for a great family road trip though.
My mom has always owned a Mazda, and she loves it. Ohio looks like a beautiful place to visit.
That conference was amazing and I also had the pleasure of enjoying a ride in your car as we went to dinner in town Saturday night. The car is very roomy and is an extremely smooth ride for someone sitting in the back seat!
I loved spending the weekend with you at Cedar Point and cant wait to go back!
I would love to go explore Ohio. The Mazda CX5 would be a great car for road trips. I will have to take one for a test drive. I will be looking for a new car this spring.
OMG I love Mazda!!! My first car was a Mazda and it lasted FOREVER! I have never been to Ohio, but would love to visit!
I have not been to Ohio in years! Every time I go there I love going to Cedar Point. That amusement park is the best one in my opinion! Obviously there’s a lot more that I need to check out there. I did not realize some of the stuff you mentioned here was in Ohio.

I love the title and my favorite car is the Mazda. I am on my 3rd Mazda. This truly had to be an adventure and it looks so much fun
How Fun! I was at Bloggy Con at Cedar Point this year also! This was my second year attending and my whole family had a blast! This car sounds like a great travel vehicle!
That Mazda is a nice car! I don’t think I’ve seen the inside of a Mazda since sometime mid 2005. Also I didn’t realize that Ohio has so much to offer. I’ve spent so much time mumbling under my breath on the interstate at driver’s from Ohio, I guess I’ve kind of turned the state off in my mind. Perhaps it’s time for me to revisit this state!
That Mazda looks so comfortable. I love the styling, too. I would love to upgrade to that bad boy.
