Surrounded by lakes, the Lake Saranac Area is a great destination if you love hiking, nature and water fun! Today I’m sharing all that we did while Exploring Saranac Lake area.
I was invited by Nissan to explore the Saranac Lake but as usual, all opinions are my own.
Exploring Saranac Lake
Lake Placid area offers a lively shopping area, coffee shops and restaurants surrounded by other lakes such as the Mirror Lake which even has a beach area in the center of town.

Lake Placid is also the home of the Winter Olympics Sports training, so the jumping center and the Olympics Sports Complex are a fun stop.
Hotel Saranac
We first saw it from our boat excursion. It stands majestic full of history, tales and mysteries waiting to be unveiled!
The Hotel Saranac was the set for numerous ghost shows, so it was a must stop for me, a horror and ghost show fan!
The hotel lobby gives you the history and paranormal clues of how the building is a standing witness to the location’s history.
Mountain View
We cruised the narrow roads and mountains for a change of scenery. You know I’m a nature lover, right?
The wild life and mountains are just breathtaking, the Rogue’s Turbo showed its performance and was a great ride to explore the ins and out of the Saranac area, which usually only the locals see!
We stopped by Kiwassa Lake for a break!
Saranac Lake Area: Lake Flower Boating Adventures
Back at the Saranac Waterfront Lodge, we enjoyed our stay and all the area has to offer. We loved having the boats available for exploring the local lakes.
They offer pontoon boats, kayaks, paddleboarding, fishing and so much more! It is water fun at its best!
Hubby had a preview of coming attractions of our move to live the lake life when the time comes and we buy our own boat!
So beautiful, we could have stayed all day!
Saranac Waterfront Lodge
Our Hotel, The Saranac Waterfront Lodge was beautiful and quiet, yet offering the boating, pedaling, lake front seating with S’mores, dining at the boat house and so much more.
Let me just give you a first look at the breathtaking view of Saranac Lake Waterfront Lodge complex.

The pork belly, lobster salad was to die for!
So hard to leave all that behind!

The hotel and area are not recommended, if you’re traveling on a budget. It is an upscale resort area and as such, prices are inflated, especially in the summer.

The olympic sports training would be amazing to see! What beautiful and lovely lakes – perfect for a summertime visit.
I love lakes! I grew up with summers lakeside at my grandparents. This looks like a lovely location – you had such a beautiful view from your room! And I love that there is the paranormal element. Stuff like that is fun to me. I would completely visit Saranac Lake.
