2013 has started really well for me, on my quest to look for healthier, not necessarily diet recipes, but healthier choices, using healthier ingredients! I have researched many supermarkets in my area and have found many sources of amazing organic and fresh vegetables and fruits. Added some fiber and different grains to our diet, along with whole wheat bread and pasta! Small changes which made huge difference on my weight and health and in just a few days into the new year!
Well, looking for butter and oils was also on my todo list and I was amazed by discovering that Soybean oil is one of the most versatile ingredients you can add to your diet, helping you create all your favorite traditional meals, in my case, Hispanic, Brazilian and American meals, without compromising taste; and you know, for us latinos, taste is everything! I also found out that it offers health benefits and is about a tenth of the cost of some competing oils! You can’t go wrong with that!
So here are my top five recipes, please share if you also try them!
