This winter has been particularly cold and bitter in most parts of the country and our skin takes a huge hit when weather becomes so extremely cold. Being a Latina, the cold, snow and ice are especially hard because my body still thinks I live in a tropical country and takes those changes harder than most people’s bodies do.
Instead of hiding at home, waiting for spring to come, I have decided to venture outdoors and make the most of this atypical winter! I can’t even begin to describe all the fun it has been, sharing these great moments. We looked for different activities on line and here are some of our favorite ideas:

Here are some of my family favorites:
-My son, hubby and I went for a walk in the woods behind our home, enjoying the beauty of a naked forest!
-My son and I lost count of the snow ball fights!
-My husband taught my son to shovel the driveway, so he could help older neighbors after the storms!

You are probably wondering how somebody who can’t stand the cold, can do all that! Well, I am going to share my most precious secrets to keeping my family and skin healthy and happy this winter. The first one, you have checked out our fun activities above – it’s important to be active!
2 – Comfort Food Without The Calories
I’ve collected special crock pot recipes and low fat snacks to comfort our appetite without slowing our metabolism down and with unbelievable low calorie options. Check out some of my favorite here:

3 – Music Is The Door To A Happy Soul
I have compiled a soundtrack from movies and happy songs to beat the winter blues and get rid of cabin fever! Songs like “Everything is Awesome”, “What Does the Fox Say” and other up beat, kid friendly songs to play when we are not able to be out and about!
4 – Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize
Dry, blistery hands, rash and redness will prevent you from enjoying outside. Let me share my last and most kept secret, since I have extra dry skin on my hands and lower part of my legs and feet, I use LUBRIDERM Advanced Therapy Moisturizing Lotion: Clinically shown to provide relief for extra dry skin, making it healthier-looking and more resilient in just one week. The formula, infused with Vitamins B5 and E as well as essential lipids naturally found in healthy skin, soothes and moisturizes, leaving skin soft and supple. This lotion is perfect to keep my skin looking great, healthy and ready! Speaking for dry skin, one of my friends who suffers from eczema, recently learned that some doctors even recommend cbd oil for eczema and other similar skin diseases as it can soothe and heal dry skin that comes about from the disease. I was aware that it can help people with their anxiety, but I didn’t know it can be used for skincare as well. How interesting!
Furthermore, if you have a working HVAC system to keep your home warm in the winter this will ensure that your skin does not get dry and cracked and will help towards reducing dry skin. If you are having issues with your system make sure that you are getting in contact with people like Century Air Solutions (https://www.centuryairsolutions.com) so that they can fix it ready for winter and to keep your skin smooth and healthy!
Hubby uses the new LUBRIDERM Men’s 3-in-1 line which is designed to make taking care of skin fast and easy by addressing multiple skin needs in one bottle. LUBRIDERM Men’s makes taking care of skin a breeze, by simplifying the grooming routine and leaving a man’s skin looking and feeling healthy and comfortable.
Look at the amazing difference on hubby’s hands after just one week! I know: WOW!
5 – This Winter – Do What Makes You Happy
It seems simple, but most people make life so complicated! Adding products like a good moisturizer, lip balm, weather resistant clothing, shoes and spicing it all up with a dash of FUN will give you all the tools you need to enjoy it, no matter what’s going on outside!
Can’t wait to hear about your favorite activities, secrets to beat the winter blues and all about your favorite LUBRIDERM lotion!
