Today is Janet Jackson‘s 50th birthday.

We have watched the pop star in awe, as she went from being the cute kid sister in a talented musical family to becoming a legendary entertainer in her own right. Every move that Jackson makes both on and off stage is precise, and her outfit choices are just as detailed.

The “Dammn Baby” singer has experimented with many different trends since stepping into the spotlight. From tailored dress suits she donned while performing with her siblings to oversized black blazers and the single key earring she sported in “Control,” Jackson’s style evolution is just as iconic as the productions that make up her signature sound.
