This is not a sponsored post and all opinions are my own, so enjoy it!
You know I have covered Macys events now, for almost two years, in three States. I always do my homework, get prepared and cover the event, doing the best job I can, but nothing could prepare me for how amazing Joy Manganos’s launch event was!
The event started with a great Q&A with Good Housekeeping Editor Jane Francisco – all attendees received a copy of the new Good Housekeeping magazine featuring Joy Mangano, prior to being available to the public!
Her interview shared her beauty, personality and wisdom. Here are some portions I shared on periscope:
But nothing would prepare me for meeting her! I had in my mind, to just stop, greet her, take a picture and leave since her line was so long! No, she chatted, asked about my accent, if I had seen the movie and somehow we ended up talking about Brazil, we talked for almost 10 minutes! She asked for my card and held my hand, saying, I know you have big dreams, just go after them and I know they will come true!
I left in awe! In awe of how nice, caring, sweet, and smart she truly is and was to me! She inspired me to, more than ever, pursue my dreams! Such an inspiration! I was also introduced to her daughter which was another great surprise! She made me feel so special, what you see in the movie is the true JOY ! She is all that and more!
If you haven’t seen the movie, here is a trailer! I highly recommend you go to watch it and leave inspired!
She said something during the Q&A that made so much sense: she said, “you see the end result, but taking small steps, every day will lead you to it! Don’t get frustrated, don’t get discouraged, just continue to take those steps and keep your eyes on the end result, which is already there!”
She launched a new line for Macys including signature products: the Huggable hangers, the Little Steamer and the all new miracle mop, among other products, in amazing colors, which I had the privilege to see! Maybe, you guys also can make use of websites like https://price.com/coupons/macys or login to Macy’s official page and avail cool offers to buy these products.
And if my day couldn’t get any better, I had the privilege of seeing Joy’s team retweet one of my tweets!
The event was one of those events I felt so privileged and honored to attend, to be a blogger and have the honor to meet and learn from people like Joy! Needless to say, my word for the year : JOY is in full blast – empowering, inspiring and moving me in the right direction in 2016!
If you follow my blog, you know I had already delivered the post for this event, I just felt compelled to share my experience and thank Everywhere Agency for trusting me and giving me the opportunity to be there! Hoping it will inspire you too, to dream and act to live the best life possible! After reading about my meeting with the true Joy!
Can’t wait to hear your thoughts, as always, give us a Trendy Shout!

I will definitely check her line during my next visit to Macy’s. I want to see the movie – I have been so busy with holidays January is a perfect time to check it out.
