I already knew that Xfinity offered the fastest internet service available in my area. I also knew that X1 is an amazing HUB offering endless possibilities and the best of all – everything is at your fingertips or voice, in one place!
Xfinity has been working to offer us more, making our life easier! That is what I want and need when I think about managing my internet, TV, phone service and my son’s devices!
Here is what I’ve learned about Xfinity services and the new offerings at their event in New Jersey:
XFINITY X1
Xfinity X1 will change the way you experience TV.
New Features:
- Integrated Xfinity apps (like Netflix) now includes YouTube, which means customers can easily access YouTube’s online video collection alongside the live, on demand, DVR and other web programming that is already included with their Xfinity TV subscriptions, just by your voice commands.
- You can search for topical videos by saying, “YouTube, show me make-up tutorials,” ! Loooove it!
- Common Sense Media and X1 are helping families go back-to-school with a dedicated destination on X1 featuring a variety of programming including guidance on cyberbullying, trending social media apps, screen time management and finding great media the whole family can enjoy.
Parents can go to the kids section of X1 to access
- A curated selection of Common Sense Media videos, reviews and programming suggestions on a variety of topics such as online safety and cyberbullying
- Videos that offer overviews and safety tips for popular social media platforms including Snapchat, Instagram, Musical.ly and Kik
- Educational videos and content applicable to children of all ages, such as “8 Rules for Safe Smartphone Use,” “6 Ways to Help Your Kids Stop Multitasking During Homework,” and more, with several titles available in Spanish! I loooove that!
- Reviews of new and returning TV shows such as “Stranger Things” just in time for Fall TV!
CBS Sports Digital launched a new fantasy football experience on X1 where viewers can access their CBS Sports Fantasy League standings, weekly matchups and team performance on the same screen as live games.
- Easily navigate between live games and highlights while keeping an eye on your fantasy team’s performance, all on one screen.
- Launch the new experience by simply saying “show me my fantasy football team” or “my fantasy football team” – as well as a variety of other voice commands – into their X1 voice remote, how cool is that?
XFINITY xFi
Xfinity xFi is a new an personalized WiFi experience that provides a simple online dashboard for customers to set up their home WiFi network, find their passwords, see what devices are connected, set parental controls and so much more. xFi gives customers unprecedented visibility and control over one of the most important technologies in their home.
No more nagging for kids to come at dinner time or at bed time! You can now set priorities, assign usage and enforce your household rules without the need for confrontation! I love that so much! This is a game changer for an internet provider!
Xfinity Mobile
My absolute favorite – the announcement of Xfinity Mobile really excited me!
It is a new wireless service, with Internet and data at the center of the experience. I’m more of a Directv girl but I’m sure Infinity is lovely. A couple of my family and friends have Infinity and I can’t recall them complaining much about their service.

While I love the speed of Xfinity, I just cut the cord and chose programming through the Roku. If it doesn’t work out I’ll go back.

Xfinity seems like very convenient to use. I can’t wait to try it as I’m using Netflix as of the moment.
What!! Voice commands for youtube (totally sold!) My cast TV malfunctions all the time so accessing Netflix is sometimes a nightmare! I love that it’s so organized!
I’m going to have to see if this is available in my area. I pay WAYYYYY too much for just the minimal features.

My favorite part of this deal was the reviews of Netflix shows. Since Netflix is an entirely different platform than cable television, I can understand not having reviews for them. But the fact that they do is a good additional service.
We have found that we really love using X Finity on the go since we have been traveling so much and want to catch up on the new Fall shows. So far we are happy customers.
It’s really wonderful because I always get troubles with my local wireless system, they are slow and somtimes do not have signal too. This Xfinity sounds great and convenient divice but sadly it is not available in my place!

This seems like a great app to view movies and other media! I really like that there is a lot of control for what kids can view, it lets me know that I am keeping them safe and helps me monitor things for them easily.

We use to have Xfinity and I just loved them!! They were always on the top of the newest trends. Sadly, we can’t get them where we live anymore.

not sure if this is available in canada but that would be very good as it is quite limited and expensive here, very few providers so competition is less!

we love our xfinity comcast in our house. it’s quite expensive, but so far it’s been worth it.
We have been considering getting Xfinity. I know some friends who have it and are happy with it.
This sounds like a great deal if it can work 24/7! I had to cancel my plan with Comcast since my service only worked 75% of the time, and I paid far too much for the inconsistency.

We love our Xfinity X1 system. I love how introvert all of our features are. Everything is just an app away. Perfect for busy families.
I’ve had Comcast as an Internet and cable TV provider for several years. I recently added my home phone to the package. Since I’ve done that my cable TV freezes up and I get messages that “they’re working on it”. Also, my Internet is spotty, which it didn’t use to be.
I have Xfinity for internet and the mobile sounds awesome. I need to look into switching for my phone.
What a great sounding internet provider, I am all for being able to access the fastest internet as possible as my other half loves gaming and I am always watching Netflix.

I had never heard of xfinity before. Sounds like a really good service! And rather cheap I must admit. Not sure they exist in the UK though.
Really nice to see all that Xfinity has to offer. I’ve had Xfinity for 4-5 years? I’ll be honest, I do get pretty frustrated with them sometimes. But overall I’m really happy with them!
We have Xfinity internet and cable services and we love it. We don’t have a few of these new services in our coverage area yet but I can’t wait to check them out once they’re offered. Thanks for the preview.
Sounds like there is a lot to love about XFINITY X1! We do not have this service in our area yet. (I checked lol) But I will definitely be keeping an eye out for it or something similar. The older I get the more tech stuff I like! Especially the ones that make life easier and tasks quicker!
The more I hear about this company the better I like it! There is so much they offer, it would be crazy not to use them. I love the idea of tracking how long people are watching TV.
We have Xfinity and I love it. I love talking into the remote and the fact that it’s linked to Netflix is the best!
